Coins for revenant can be gotten in a weekend of solid WoE grinding. VS is VERY worth it. Being able to one-shot a mob in abyssea never gets old.

revenant will be just fine. they're a huge upgrade over fire tapians. Personally id use gnarled horn + raized ruins until you get your third atma slot. Full time counterstance with GH, once you get victory smite i can almost guarantee you'll be tanking 90% of the time.

revenants will be fine, and added bonus that as the level cap increases, they will be easier to upgrade in terms of damage.

with 2 atma slots, so you haven't beaten shinryu, razed ruins is a gimmie. after that, gnarled horn, voracious violet, and now sanguine scythe all have a place. personally i stick to GH/RR/apoc until i finish my smite h2h.

Yes. If you have some dedicated friends, i would consider going straight to 85 verethragna instead of revenant fists. Otherwise, just do the walk of echoes path I guess.

I think it has max resistance so you are floored to 5%.

Wiki suggests he's just resistant, but I've had ES thren repeatedly just bounce off without landing, so I think he's outright immune.

ES is what +100 macc or something? I am 90% sure that I lent Threnody on it after lots of tries and I definitely lent Kurayami ( which isn't mentioned but it's dark based too and probably share same resistance as spells posted above )

Working towards this set up for meleeing on bard during abyssea. Just sitting and casting songs is boring as shit so I wanna fight stuff. Probably gonna opt for either a Str/Dex/crit dmg build for evisceration or matt/int build for aeolian edge. Both seem pretty good options for brd.

Anyways, any recommendations for swap outs? The oneires ring is eh Im not sure what else I'd put in there, maybe an acc ring to make up for bard's low dagger skill?

It's not like a party can call a bard contributing to kills gimp, infinitely more damage than any of the other bards who just sit and afk and are hard pressed to even put minuet or march on the party.
