Mage burn it. Time nuke, and then spam nuke to get out of shell. Make sure to rest to full after taking it out of shell if you don't have that many people.

Any idea for a moderately lowman strat for Turtle KS99? I tried it last night AlmaBLU GandRNG BLM WHM, and the fight basically went 93->100->93->100->93->100 for 30 minutes.

I was thinking of trying a 3 heavy DD + BRD + WHM strat next time, but if someone has any better ideas, I'm all ears.

We tried the whole heavy dd approach and it didnt go well at all. had a masamune / verethragna / and a war. and we couldnt get it below 85%. Its still a difficult fight at 90 unless you have 3-4 decent gear blm. and some refresh support. Someone claimed 2 blm could duo, but im gonna call BS on that. Good luck though.

I'm pretty sure two good BLM could duo it. I did it as RDM RDM BLM and we fucked up a lot and still won. All of us were fairly sub par too.

spam nuke when its IN shell, and rest when its not? I guess thats what I was doing wrong lol.

It goes in shell after X damage has been done to it, then stays in till it either regens X hp or X damage is done, right?

Yeah pretty much. You need to be able to force it out of shell, taking it slow and steady is safest.

Anyone math out the increased damage from Raider's Armlets +2? Wiki has no info, and the link to alla testing is inconclusive on the +2's, and only a small sample size on the +1's. I only have the +2's, so not able to test boost to +1's, but if nobody has an answer, I'll try to test them out tonight on some poor defenseless bunnies.

I have regular CD-installed copy of ffxi; if I download one of the collections on steam and only for the serial # of 1 add-on (ie: ASA). Can I give the serial # to a friend after activating ASA so they could activate ACP/MKD or is this not possible because steam collections only have 1 serial?

Could I spam all my Ops and spam JA in battles or something?

JA/buff spam in battles probably won't be enough anymore. Ops might do it, though, if you can do them upon re-set. I have vague memories of ranking up based upon ops, but it was a long time ago, so I could be wrong.

Rankups are based on AN acquired over the evaluation period. Campaign OPs are going to be your only realistic option.

Question: What should I focus on first? (Probably the second level quest?)

Ok, this is starting to bug me now since I bothered reinstalled WinXP on my Mac for my 2box account.

Does anyone have any ideas why POL would crash as it's trying to load FFXI? Only thing off I'm seeing is that it's trying to make FFXI fullscreen where-as I have it setto windowed in the config. Other than that, did both a Steam verify on the files followed with a POL file repair (fixed 1k files), and still no go.

[EDIT] Bad POL install, even though file check said nothing when I did it for that also... Thank god for that, was not in the mood for reinstalling all of FFXI again.
