Just got thf to 90. Trying to find some decent daggers, should I start working on magian daggers? If so which ones? Also no access to shin yet, so twilight dagger is out of the picture.

Angr Harpe / Triplus Dagger is a decent set up, Angr Harpe is very very easy to get and has the highest base damage next to Twashtar, that with Triplus is probably the best set up you'll find outside of any sort of trial. Forget about Twilight it really aint that good compared to what is available now. Try and get your hands on the DEX dagger also which would replace Angr Harpe in main hand. Also don't forget your Thief's Knife for the first inital TH proc (You more than likely know this but just incase)

I think that's simply not true. The 3% quad attack puts it ahead on dps over Angr. It applies to all your melee attacks so it's not completely correct to apply to the weapon's own dps. However, without any other multi attacks it'd be a 9% dot increase. If you assumed 20% triple attack it'd be a 7.5% dot increase which STILL puts it ahead of Angr. Add to that the utility of HP and TP drain, there is no way I'm getting Angr out of storage to replace it. Same argument for Rapidus and Auric (while factoring in DW).

I did say twilight dagger wan't very good but I did not compare them or say Angre Harpe was better, you some how got that from what I typed. I didn't include twilight dagger because he stated in his question he hasn't got access to Shinryu as of current, so I took that in mind and put out what there is in regards of daggers right now.

As for Twilight Dagger it's self, I prefere Kila +2 (DEX) / Triplus (TK when appropriate) personally, twilight dagger is a nice dagger I am not denying that but I think triplus is better. On that note you can't disagree that Auric/Rapidus aren't superb off hand daggers if he doesn't have access to Triplus/Twilight, I have no idea what this person does whilst he plays this game so I just threw it all out there.

Mini edit, I'm not sure if Zahak's is worthwhile if you have access to Grim inside Abyssea actually. I've asked a couple of times but it always seems to spark a few pages of debate and I never get a clear answer.

Max number of Apademaks you can kill with a brew using Sanguine Blade? I got up to 4 with it on NIN/WAR, I was usually doing up to 40k on them.

what atma/gear are you using to hit 40k? i remember doing sanguines on glavoid for about 14k, without cosmos though, id imaginesomewhere around 20k with it

I wouldn't bank on that. I had 2 SE support guys on the phone today and neither could help me. After getting me to download the w7 version of POL (which I tried to tell them was up to date on the Steam version) they just told me to contact Steam. Why are SE so bloody useless with support for their own product?

If you're gonna do a magian dagger, a STR/Atk dagger will out-perform a DEX/Acc dagger. That being said, you could likely get access to Shinryu and get yourself a Twilight dagger faster than you could do any full magian trials from start to finish if you really put some time/effort into it. Angr/Trip is what I'd shoot for if you want reasonable to get dropped daggers. Both fairly easy to get, and while Angr isn't the best there is, it's more than acceptable (imo).

Check the final form thread for some info on this topic. People almost 2-shotted it with a very strong setup, which means almost anyone should be able to do one in 3 WS. From my experience doing 4 Isgebind with brew'd Cataclysms, I estimate you can do up to 28 WS per brew with some /target bt and WS macros (takes 6 to 7 WS per blue dragon). The more often you lock yourself the more time is lost, so a more conservative estimate would put you at 21 and a comfortable 7 Apademaks per brew, which is the same number that the person in the final forms magian thread said he did. However, I think 8 is definitely feasible.

Anything that isn't wind-based is going to have a damage penalty on glavoid.
