So I'm fighting Glavoid... WAR, MNK, WHM, BLM. I randomly just drop dead.
No spell was cast, no damage displayed in the log and I was at or near full HP when it happened.
Any ideas...?

Maybe ate Retaliation and got silent countered? idk
Anyone know what the default/"factory" settings on BlinkMeNot were before the update?
So I bought the new collection and have started to dualbox. Uncommonly, one of the characters will glitch up, lagging a bit & the zone music begins looping a certain segment, becoming highly prone to freezing up completely (occurred when delivering something in whitegate, opening menu to switch macro book, etc.) Has this occured with anyone else that multiboxes and is there a way to minimize it from occurring?
Or if possible, has this occurred for anyone else at all? I think I noticed the music looping before I started dualboxing, but it would correct itself upon zoning or waiting it out.
Probably super repeat.
How hard is the "Hills are Alive" Turtle KSNM99 now? Whats a good Strat? Minimum People? etc. Just general basics.
Got lucky went 1/2 on Behemoth Tongue from the KSNM99, Then went 1/1 on Nidhogg pop from Fafnir and 1/1 on Wyrm beard, and now planning on doing KSNM99, But the Turtle is the one we're worried about due to his Regen. Got real flexible jobs, just looking for best/basic Strat.
The exact numbers involve way too much maths and would depend on your other stats a little but I'd say you need to be close to the 50% cap using +2 body to see a better return. The better cureskin will also stop spell interruptions now and again that may previously wouldn't have so that might figure into it aswell.
As for merits I just went with dark/elemental/enfeebling.
Yeah we did this @90 a few months back and if anything it was easier at 75 with the old SC MB repeat strat, but it doesn't work so well @90 since everyone does so much damage he's back in his shell before you know it. Perhaps less people would actually be better since we had maybe 12 of us.
Ended up just meleeing outside shell then nuking like crazy when in shell to force him out again. If mages were low on MP we just kited it for a bit while they got MP back. I've seen a better strat somewhere for lowman but can't remember where.
Keep it silenced aswell, Waterga IV still hurts.
What grip should i use for war? With all the +crit damage% available, does claymore beat out pole now? Or is brave no longer garbage with such high crit rates available?
How exactly do hybrid weaponskills work? Can't seem to find anything on them.
I think all you really need is four well geared BLM, maybe even just three. Start of by Bind > Silence > Gravity > time nuke Blizzard IV. This should do a lot of damage and put him into his shell. Do another time nuke, but with Blizzard V. This should pop him back out of the shell. It is extremely important that you're actually doing time nukes as a high spike in damage will cause him to leave the shell while several Blizzard V spells staggered over a few second swill not. Either way, next just kite around using Bind when appropriate until you have full MP again (Aspir + Aspir II works pretty well, you can also rest while he's bound.) Wait until Silence wears off, then repeat the entire process.
Note: I haven't actually done it this way, but I'm fairly certain that it can be done this way. I wouldn't recommend doing any kind of skillchain nonsense crap, too much trouble and not necessary.
if a sandworm eats counterstance/retaliation it'll do that
Where does Turul spawn? I'm tired of running all over the goddamn zone trying to find him.
Has Oneiros Barbut been found?
I haven't logged in since a week before the update. Is anything new worth doing, or is it the same old?
Shura Togi with 3% haste 3% crit rate
Byakko's Haidate with store TP 5 and crit damage +4%
Kirin's osode with att7 & crit damage 3
For instance I computed that a set comprised of
- mnk AF3+2 head, the above shura togi, AF3+2 gloves, the byakko's haidate, AF3+2 feet
=> Is only 1.5% worse ONLY than full AF3+2 inside abyssea (thank to the new uncapped crit damage) and that's only because I assumed that you would use it during impetus.
=> Is 3.7% worse than full AF3+2 outide of impetus
=> Consequently you can easily guess that equipping
Shura Togi with 3% haste 3% crit rate/Byakko's Haidate with store TP 5 and crit damage +4%/ AF3+2 hands/head/leg outside impetus
and
AF3+2 head/hands/body/feet plus byakko during impetus
gives soemething like 4-5% damage boost.
Consequently augmented byakko's haidate is the abosolute best right now
Secondly the above doesn't account for the augmented osode which should beat the crap out of AF3+2 body on WS.
I have no doubt salvage augments are going to complety destroy AF3+2 to be honest. Good thing !
So, this is what Pchan wrote on the SE forums. So, is he right that its better to go for all this stuff? or Is it just Pchan being Pchan and acting like a retard?
