I haven't tried it after Apademak levels so I don't know if it prevents Fulmination, but for the short time I tried it, it did favor Plague Swipe. I don't think it restrict him to it 100% though if memory serves, but I might be wrong. You don't want to back tank him though. For both D.Khim and Apademak you want to side-tank, makes the fight a lot easier. Just don't let Apademak level at all and he will not use Fulmination.

It doesn't block Fulm. I don't think backtanking it stops any TP moves, just increases the pool of TP moves it can choose from. For Apademak, DEFINITELY tank side. If it never levels, it will only use Dreadstorm/mist. If it levels, it'll use Fulm/Dreadstorm/Mist. Lithic Breath is what you do NOT want to see.

Interesting side-note, but the other day I'm pretty sure the proc on Orthrus was Bio II, and it wouldn't proc until my Dia 3 wore off. Could have just been bad luck on all the other casts, but I was keeping Dia 3 on it and as soon as it wore off we got a proc with Bio II.

Light skillchain is not light. Transfixion skillchain is light, Light skillchain is light/flame/breeze/thunder.

I know that Light SC property is the mixture of all four, but what I'm curious is, is if the Light Gorget will still work, since Transfixion is part of the properties, or is it off of the secondary named one. Such as Fragmentation. Do I need a Breeze/Thunder Gorget/Belt, or will Light work?

See, this is what I really wanted to believe, I even asked if it just got resisted damage-wise and did less than 1k, but he insisted for sure that it procced with the Fails to take effect message. We ended up in this whole "it doesn't have to land, just has to be clean" in terms of not hitting tp/spell/etc.

This got compared to how AM gets cast and takes a while, and he wouldn't relent the point. Not like it matters now after the BLU adjustments for the future, but still, bugs the shit out of me when people claim such outrageous things.

It's a windower glitch. To solve it either log in with the normal FFXI on your comp, change zone, and log back with windower. Or login from another machine with windower.

This partially works. I am able to log the character in on the laptop which I normally use for my main char on both regular POL and Windower to move the char to another zone, which results in my being able to log in on the PC I normally use the char on, however, any attempt to zone back into Port Jeuno results in disconnection.

I've had a similar issue. Unfortunately, I think it might just be some kind of anti-hack thing on SE's end where if some kind of screwy packet is received (perhaps to no fault of your own if there's an ISP hiccup), it'll block out a connection to that specific zone server for a bit. If you have a dynamic IP, you can try resetting it to see if that helps, but sometimes I've had this issue last anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours.

You either run it in a fake-PC environment using Parallels or something from OS-X or you dualboot windows. Either way, you're running FFXI by running windows on a mac.

JUst bought a new computer 64bit w/e, downloaded the POL file from POL website, dl'd torrent, copied files, check files, go to login and saying I don't have expansions installed. I don't have these CDs, do I have to download ISOs and run them again?

I play on a mac laptop and desktop it works better via bootcamp rather then parallels from what ive seen. I only use parallels when im doing photoshop work on my mac side and something mindless in FF. Bootcamp comes standard with newer macs / leopard os. But it's just a partition on your harddrive and you would need to install windows onto it. After that it would be just like running windows just with an apple keyboard.

I'm sure it's been asked before, but search fails... I find conflicting opinions on if Elemental WS are affected by ws gorgets. And would 5 int typically weigh more in Most cases i'd presume, and MAB moreso?
