Debating getting off my ass on staff trials. For "Kill x number with y-element damage of zzz+ damage", can I gather up a bunch, get them all to ~5%HP and -ga3 them on BLM and get credit for however many I kill, or do you only get credit for the "target" of the spell?

Can -ga them, and most people do.

On the same train of thought, then, for the m.acc ones, say for earth acc, gather up a bunch of mobs, spam slow on them all, and have a war FC them would work, right?

Not sure on that one since I've never done any of those kinds of trials, but theoretically I'd say yes. (In earth's case slowga from smn might be a quick idea, but was probably just an example.)

Do you still need to have sky/sea/aht urghan/etc missions with their respective items obtained? And nation/campaign missions? Any of these matter anymore with Abyssea? Was considering a comeback, but these are the pains I was looking forward to NOT having to redo..oh and releveling crafts haha..

I just remember how vast and full my key item list was and to have to get all of this again (which took forever).............

What would I need to wear to 5-hit Armageddon on COR?

/sam with + 21 from gear.

Loki's Af3 pants +2 Rajas and brutal

4hit /sam Sam roll 8+ with sam lucky or 11 without sam. 27 in gear

Loki's, Tactical, Af3+2 pants Rajas Brutal.

Could also use Goading belt for the 5 stp and only need 9+ or lucky roll without sam.

Tactical Lokis Af3+2 pants Rajas and any sams roll 3+ ( barring unlucky ofc ) is 5hit aswell.

Can even hit 4hit /rdm or /blm with 11 Sams+Sam and Loki+Goading+Tact+Rajas+af3legs+Brutal.

Can use hoard ring in place of other things too. Actually lots of options for Cor for low x-hit build.

For spear, regen atmas, quint spear, retaliator, mandies @ <insert abyssea zone here>. Do the same type of skillup on your dagger, regen atmas, war, retaliator, mandies, then do the weapon weakness limbus zone on nin/dnc. Can use twilight dagger on war and nin, or just get a shitty AH dagger for skillup/lumbus if no twilight.

It doesn't even have to be elemental magic, it can be an elemental weaponskill or an elemental bloodpact (astral flow). Aeolian Edge is great for Vayu's (wind).

Currently got 31/57 and most are 75 jobs which are the ones that are gunna cost alot of time maybe.

So my question is how is exp these days from 1-75+?
Fast? Still Dunes PT's? Classic PT's? Or is everything burn now?
I've heard alot about this Abyssea but would like to know more about it and what the recommended lvl is to enter/join them exp parties.

Maybe I will get back into it altogether eventually. The content since I stopped looks very interesting and lvl99 cap soon!

Even a shitty abyssea exp PT gets 100k/hr, a good one gets way more. You can level a job from 30 to 90 in a day without much trouble. Minimum level to enter abyssea is 30.

Explain your logic behind wanting to do those staffs because your the first person I heard/seen consider them at all.

I had considered the earth M.Acc staff for BRD back at the 75 cap. Terra's is plenty good enough for Abyssea content, I wouldn't even consider it now. If M.Acc becomes relevant again with the new content, it may be worth a second look.

Yes.

Unless your primary usage is going to be raging rush, in which case it's stack str and dex, whichever you can get the most of in a given slot (or best mix a la heca hands/feet). Pure str will outperform dex by miles on every other gaxe ws, though.



Also this is a few pages late but to the guy having trouble with itza that has a blu helping... regurgitation bind is near 100% accuracy on him and does not build resistance. Easy solo for blu.

If any of them have mnk as an option, that's the faster way as well. He's never going to kill a decent monk with a halfass decent healer.

That's really misleading. When it's possible it's rather very hard. You would need probably make party at 6am and keep it going till midnight. You also need to make party yourself because ppl usually doesn't want leeches. If you coming back then you have also 0 stones and abyssites etc.
