Hi, whats my best job to get to 90 fast? I have PLD, DRG, BLM, MNK, THF and SMN @ 75.
Also is gear a major factor in exp groups? All I have is R/E stuff I gathered thru my 6yrs of play.

Am I missing something? Those staffs aren't rare so you can have both +2?
You didn't make +2 because of macro? I think for WHM you can easily keep macc on satchel and just put it on if you need it. I am more then sure that its manageable.

BRD is my main job so it makes more sense to keep +2 and +1 in inventory together. You could make both +2's and keep one in satchel as you said if that is what works for you.

MNK or THF. And not really if you have the good Atmas, for mnk you'll at least want VV, RR and GH (assuming you prolly don't have Apoc) for THF w/o apoc you want RR/GH/Dark Depths.

I believe it's Cosmos, Beyond, Ultimate. Switch Beyond out for Pandy Warden atma if you have it. For Sanuine Blade.

What is the difference between Evasion and Evasion Skill?

Most likely Evasion skill = 0.9 evasion

I once did some long parse for it but I didnt make any math with it. Same amout of +evasion gave better results then +evasion skill and it was enough for me.

Brew sanguine... seems like a poor WS choice, honestly.

Ult/HG, Cosmos, Banisher would be best choice but I have to think you have something stronger available.

If you're going for 1brew : 1 kill could do any WS sure, but if after 4-5 kills/brew.. what job/weapons do you have? might be a better choice.

We've been brewing Apademak for my brothers' Almace recently. Typically we get about 7~8 kills per brew. although that 8th one can be kinda iffy sometimes. Used Sanguine blade, was hitting for about 36k~ per ws, Closer to 39k on darks day. 3 ws, dead mob. 2 ws will almost kill him, if I could just get a little bit more dmg I could 2 shot him...

Does apademak have any MDB/MDT? Cataclysm is better if not. Cata was doing 50k+ on standard mobs when I was brewing dragua. I don't know the mods to compare, so i can't tell if that 37k is resisted at all.

Ah ok, well I stoped playing 3 years ago and just figured WotG was ending soon haha. Thanks, luckily I have some old friends who still play so maybe I can have some luck in Abyssea. When I stopped playing, WAR and SAM were pretty much king, while MNK was good for off-tanking and THF and DRG were sort of novelty. What's the current "tier" for physical DD?

MNK, NIN, and WAR are pretty much the best DDs atm. ukon war>Vere mnk>Kannagi nin. NIN and MNK are generally the safer "tanking" DDs, you want MNK for blue !! proc and nin for red. WAR will have more trouble solo tanking some NMs compared to mnk or nin.

Going from 30%/30% to 30%/50% is a 67% increase before adding in fTP. I know most of Cata's benefit is from Atmas but it's not as clear-cut it seems.

33% increase((999*x.3+999*.3)*.85 vs (999*.3+999*.5)*.85), cata gains 45% boost from +100 tp(Smiting or Martial Pole, 82% from both smiting and martial), 15% boost from plutos (30% from yama+2 DMG), and 20% from griffonclaw. Lose 10% from banisher and 6% from ult/hg.

I don't know what stat comparisons Cata and Sanguine use though, and that's going to matter more than the mods, see why Wildfire is amazing brewed, etc.

Edit: Also you can use +ftp items on Cata but not sanguine(no SC properties)

Just for reference, when we had like ~10 seconds left on a brew one time, we decided to drop a sanguine on sysiphus to make use of that last bit. It hit about 55k. We also had a similar experience with dragua. Normal mobs, or lower tier NMs, will take massively more dmg from WS than the major NMs do. I don't know if that's and indication of MDB/MDT, or just the NM's much higher stats coming into play.

So if cata was hitting normal mobs 50k, I'd expect something like 28k~ on Dragua himself. Our Sanguine's on Dragua while working on Rhongomiant hit about 30~33k.

Haven't played since september, what does a semi-ideal WAR look like?
full af3 (Twilight, zelus tiara?), Ukonvasara, and Atheling Mantle seem obvious from what I've seen. What about rings/ear/belt? mix/match haste until 26 then go DA/atk/haste?

I have a bonesplitter, how hard is it going to be to get 50 glavoid wings? would it be better to just do the walk of echoes path?
