Can you skill up healing magic if the cure is for 0?
Can you skill up healing magic if the cure is for 0?
Weather is easier because each kil is +5 but 300 kills is gonna be brutally painful. Maybe I'll wait till I can call NPC in ToAU areas and give it a polearm.
So how exactly are people supposed to XP to 75 outside of Abyssea? On my server there is only 22 people lfg from the 30-74 range, and the only 4 or so that'd be of use to the group I'm in that's trying to form are either afk or are refusing to join for some reason. Are people that spoiled by Abyssea leech groups? I'd get one myself, but people seem to preemptively get their key people before shouting for members, or charge 200k+ for entry, which is fucked up imo. I just want some damn XP.
SE needs to either raise lvl-entry for Abyssea, or gimp XP lights in it based on level difference. I hate to complain, but this is just fucking retarded, especially for an MMO this far into its life. If I can't get XP on my 5th job, how the heck are new players supposed to gain levels? You can't honestly expect them to level sync in Qufim until they ding 75.
Consider yourself lucky, sea all inv 20-65 generally shows me about 4-5 people.
No, they don't, you need to make some friends.SE needs to either raise lvl-entry for Abyssea, or gimp XP lights in it based on level difference. I hate to complain, but this is just fucking retarded, especially for an MMO this far into its life.
How much +stp does a 488 delay GAX need for a 5/6 hit?
Also, I havnt level'd my BST in years, for exp post 30 what is best solo sub?
Yes. Note that hitting for zero damage and not being able to skill up applies only to MELEE weapons. Magic, ranged and defensive skills can still experience skillups even when you hit or are hit for zero.
Also, the best way to level your healing skill is to load up on a couple defensive atmas (Vicissitude and Mounted Champion work well and are easy to get) and PDT gear along with Minikin Monstrosity and just spam Cure on pretty much any undead mob in an Abyssea zone. WHMs can level something useful like club or staff and keep themselves alive indefinitely doing this as well.
So go solo or duo/trio. I have a guy in my LS who can solo his way to 75, it's even easier now with the double xp + page spamming of FoV. If you can't make a conventional party, ask if someone wants to duo/trio a page with you to speed things up. Complaining about abyssea parties and then only wanting to stick to old school parties is silly when there's other, effective options.
Does RDM need SCH sub for anything at this point in time? Is BLM still awesome, or has it been pushed to the side again? Aside from SMN burns is there any reason to level SMN? I'm just trying to figure out if my old jobs are worth starting over with. I know I'm getting RDM and all subs for it leveled up for sure. WHM -> 18 BLM -> 37 WHM -> 49 BLM -> 49 RDM -> 1-90. Good? D: Do endgame shells want you to have a mage AND a melee still?
As far as Abyssea is concerned I've yet to use SCH sub once as there are zero situations where Bindga/Graviga are used as almost everything worthwhile resists both there.
Also not touched my SMN in there, but perhaps it'll get some use with the new Void event coming out next month since we hopefully won't have triggers to worry about, and everyone won't have atmas/brew to fallback on to compensate for any faults. Hate-free damage could be a viable tool there.
Can't speak for /sch. BLM is still pretty awesome, yes. SMN is fun to play around with, and perp isn't as big a deal with af3 and such. Out of the five listed in your sig? BLM and BLU would do you the most good, SAM is nice, but isn't as good as it used to be (inside abyssea, outside it's still as powerful as it was before). RDM is fine for outside stuff/solo, in abyssea it's not as needed. SMN is the same as ever.
Camp kings for BB items, 11 people in VoS for day 1 aspid.
I forsee RDM becoming more useful again on implementation of Voidwatch on the next major update, since the only thing that makes RDM, BRD and whatever jobs "bad" is the fact that other jobs skyrocket up in utility because of Abyssea atmas.
In fact, now would probably be a pretty good time to finish it up to 90, cap out the enfeebling skill, and work on getting RDM empyrean armor while its on very few people's priority lists.
Also, SCH sub is pretty decent for RDM outside of Abyssea just because of various MP savings for whatever you want to do, and use of Accession makes healing/stoneskin more accessible inside Abyssea. The only reason to sub BLM is for Stun (replacing the reason to sub DRK) and the only reason to sub WHM is to gain access to a couple light-elemental Grellow triggers and Stona/Cursna.
It depends on who you play with, Abyssea is obviously the forefront, but some dyna/limbus/salvage(Rarely, depends on your friends mostly) gets done. But, yes, echoing the sentiments of the guy above me. RDM/BRD/etc will definitely get more useful when content shifts outside of abyssea and mages don't have infinite MP and melees don't have shit tons of HP.
I think I'll get BLM and RDM to 90, and main BLM until I decide on a different main / flavor of the month for myself. I don't want to go SAM or BLU again. BLU was fun, but I don't really want to spell farm again.
Could also tag along as a KI holder for people farming Empyrean weapons for easy EXP.
Anyone have a decent NIN spellcast?
