haste has no effect on tp/hit, only traits (and pieces that enhance these traits), like dual wield and martial arts, reduce your tp per hit (oh, and that stupid corsair roll).

    Haste does not influence TP/hit.

Hmm... all those lotto NMs again doesn't seem like a particularly brilliant idea in my book... I'll probably dump my shells onto Ukon and then lazily start a second Twashtar path that I basically camp while not doing other things. I'll be the finest cake-serving taru in all the land. What I'm really interested in is whether 90 Twashtar/85 Twashtar would get ODD on both hands if I used Rudra's.

The best offhand for Twashtar (90) on Dancer is . . . Twashtar (85). I said this as a joke the other night in my linkshell chat, but now I'm realizing that it's true. It also saves me from having to do the 85->90 trial twice.
I'm not sure how it works with weapons, but you can carry multiples of the same AF3 piece. I helped a friend farm NQ NIN AF3 feet the other day, and I definitely tossed an NQ pair of DNC AF3 feet after we finished (of which I already own the +2). They're tagged differently though. The NQ are tagged rare/ex while the +2 are aug/rare/ex.

It makes me wonder though: can we hold two of the same item tagged aug/rare/ex as long as they're on different tiers of completion? Assuming the empyrean weapons behave like the empyrean armor, here's a test that could save you 50 Glavoid shells:

Farm up 8 DNC AF3 seals (the piece doesn't matter as long as you already own the +2), and afterwards, try to upgrade the piece to +1.

If you can upgrade it, that means you can hold two pieces of the same empyrean item, both tagged aug/rare/ex, as long as they're on different tiers (for example, +2 and +1 DNC AF3 Feet). If it works, I think you're safe to upgrade a second Twashtar(85).

EDIT: I suggested the AF3+1 armor test since I have the sneaking suspicion that the Magian Moogle will let you start the Glavoid stage (since this trial is on the Kartika, not Twashtar), accept all 50 shells, and then say "You cannot obtain the Twashtar. Please sort your inventory. Lulz."

What nonsense process of cognition led you to type this bullshit?

+1 and +2 items are named differently. We have been able to hold +1 and NQ versions of a Rare item for as long as this game has existed, essentially. You'd have to test with the weapon itself. Considering the item ID is different, I'd want to say it's possible, but I definitely won't be the one to test it.

Also, it doesn't matter which character is in the congested area -- the lag ONLY affect my main character, and not my mule.

    Any ideas?
Updating your drivers might help. If it's fully updated, I'd just find a different one. I used to have this issue as well.

I'm looking at some wildfire sets on ffxiah.com and I'm seeing a lot of focus on AGI. I was under the impression that MAB>AGI although AGI is the only modifier according to wiki. Is there a rough estimate of 1 MAB = X AGI for dmg purposes? Also am I doing it right with aquiline belt?

I'm fairly sure that I've read that non-elemental Magian weapons do not work this way. Aside from Twashtar, there's only one other aug/rare/ex dagger, and that's Parazonium. Like Empyrean Armors, there's an NQ Parazonium, +1, and a +2. The difference between these daggers and Empyrean armors is that the daggers are all tagged aug/rare/ex, and the NQ Empyrean armors are only tagged rare/ex while the +1s and +2s are tagged aug/rare/ex.

Here's why I brought it up:

Players can hold the NQ and an upgraded version of the same piece of Empyrean armor at the same time.

To the best of my knowledge (read: I'm not sure this is true), a player cannot hold an NQ and an upgraded (+1 or +2) version of the previously mentioned Parazonium at the same time. Even if the daggers are on different paths and are named differently (for example, a +1 and a +2). You can only have one. And I have no idea if this also applies to Twashtar.

To test whether players can obtain two Twashtars or two Parazoniums would take too damn long. Like you, I wouldn't want to test it either. Since players can hold an NQ and an upgraded version of the same piece of Empyrean armor at the same time (and in active inventory...no porter moogle involvement), I figure an attempt to upgrade the NQ would be the quickest way to find out if a player can hold two aug/rare/ex versions of the same Empyrean weapon. I'd think the upgrading process, and what you can and can't obtain, would function similarly for both Empyrean armors and weapons.

I'm only keying in on the tags since it's the big difference I noticed between carrying two versions of the same Emprean armor piece (an NQ and a +2) and trying to carry two versions (but on different tiers) of the same aug/rare/ex Magian weapon.

Yes they can. Please stop, nothing you have said makes even a tiny bit of sense. Empyrean armor has nothing to do with this, and neither do other trial weapons.

Would yama's staff +2 (damage version) be a good upgrade over pluto for drain/aspir? I mean, will the damage increase be noticeable?

    Yes, you'll do ~13% more with Yama+2(DMG)

D: So having to do 250+ damage with a dark based spell... all I see is drain. What atma is good to ensure it does 250+? Might 5/5 Bio III temporarily just to finish trials if it can guarantee I have 2 spells to cycle through. Good/bad idea?

Dunno if you're gonna get where you wanna be with the two Twashtar's Byrth, I'm tempted to believe ODD won't work offhand.

It's not an identical comparison but my WoE Katana mainhand wouldn't proc ODD for my Kannagi offhand.

Almost thought it was a good idea till I remembered the ridiculous MP requirement + longass recast time (60s after capped haste, but still). Not really feasible when I'm able to kill 2-3 per min since I have a melee char to lower enemy health for the mage one.

Diabolos for dark damage might be an option if you have smn. (not sure if Somnolence counts as dark damage/can hit 250 but its a ward so could do netherblast/Somnolence if it does)

If you have access to a mule it was much less painless than I anticipated. I went THF/nin + blm/whm. I got MM, and the 2 heaviest regain atmas I had (Sea daughter and something else?). I'd pull/melee the mob to about 15% on the THF then cataclysm it to death.

edit: come to think about it the atma with 5mp per tick refresh and MAB may have been better instead of MM

    Cataclysm/Vidohunir/maybe Omniscience?

Remember too you don't have to do the killshot, so if meleefriend can do sanguine blade that'll work as well.

Perfectly normal. Dawon is practically not worth the hassle of the fight anymore.
