I don't know if they adjusted it. You can see Nynja's comments in that thread. I know that before the Abyssea NM patch, you could pop him by killing the PHs I listed (and they wouldn't be up if he was up). I numbered all of them and ran through it as one of my first few NMs because a NIN in my LS wanted the drop.

All Abyssea NMs can now be lottos off of themselves and have no minimum repop times. Just for safety, I'd kill the three Treants I listed.

I can go spam widescan on a mule Sunday night, but there's already an account in this thread (earlier on this page) of someone going 2.5 hours without seeing him pop. Farming Dark rings (killing Treants) means you're killing his PHs probably. It's not like outside where PHs repop once every 5-16 minutes. Abyssea PHs repop as fast as the rest of their group.

Also, Konschtat is the only Abyssea zone with lotto NMs. It has 3, there are no others. Gukumatz and all those other ones don't work this way.

Is there any way to Cancel "The Ashu Talif" Line Quests?

I accidentally fucked myself and got "Royal Painter Escort" instead of "Targeting the Captain", And the other two in my group got the correct one, Now all 3 of us are apparently boned, Cause we can't even go to the battlefield and purposefully fail because you need 3 people to enter, And i cannot find a way to cancel said quest.

is there any ways to cancel it without finding 1/2 other people for us and failing/Completing?

Okay, I actually had time this morning so I went to check it out. I get there and one of the Sapling PHs is up. There are people killing other Saplings, but they aren't near the PH. This THF rolls up out of nowhere and kills only the PH Sapling, then waits.

NM pops one minute later and he Flees off to get it.

12:48, he "defeats" the PH.
13:03, it appears to despawn
~14:15, we both notice Gangly Gean has spawned

You don't need to cancel. You can have all 3 quests active at the same time but you can only activate one quest per day I believe.

La Theine: most people do fishing rods, but the rusty weapon one doesn't require zoning (and is more expensive).

Tahrongi: Sanguinets or bones are fast but depend on item availability. You used to be able to spam the Dance Shoes quest, but that has a limit of once per game day.

Konschtat: Pictures, but requires game day waits (enter around 22:00. turn in picture. turn in another picture after day change). Once you have the fame for martello upgrades, do it at the same time you do your pictures. Tier1 VNMs are perfect for pictures since they are abundant and sleepable.

Using Windower, after hitting Play on the POL screen and going into the game screen I have continually run into the same problem. During the time when the plug ins are loading in red text on the left there is a very small window of opportunity for me to hit Accept and move onto the next selection screen. If I don't hit Accept at that golden moment XI crashes and I have to go through it all over again. Any idea why this is happening and how I could fix it?

Have you tried disabling the auto-loading of plugins?

If you're sitting on money, doing the Limule Pincer trade-in may be more worth your while than doing the picture taking quest @Konschtat.

Quick question on "The Ashu Talif" Quests.

Do you only get 1 ??? item per run? Wiki makes it sound like you can get ~2 per run. on Targetting the Captain it sounds like you get a ??? box, and a ??? hands if you sneak up on the Captain.

Just did Targeting the Captain, got both Chests (Snuck up on him), And only got 1 ??? box. Just wanna know if I'm doing something wrong or if Wiki is misleading...
