Okay, So no matter what We'll only get one ??? item? Seems like Targeting the Captain is not the best one for Auto Parts then.
Without bringing wide scan is there a way I can have apradar2 filter which mob is a PH vs the rest, perhaps having something to do with their ID in the .dats? Thanks.
Easiest way is to change the name of the PH via POLUtils. Wiki usually tells you which mob on Widescan is the PH, and the order of mobs in the dats is exactly the same as the order of mobs on Widescan. If Wiki doesn't have any info then you'll have to work out which mob is the PH yourself and go from there. Renaming each mob in the group of potential placeholders as <mobname> 1, <mobname> 2, etc. using POLUtils can be helpful with that
Do you all think they will add in a favorite atma thing for abyssea on the update? They mentioned something about it a few months ago.
Does this mean Gangly Gean can repop up to a minute after it dies, or only if a PH dies is he able to pop like a minute after?
Asked a few months ago but never got an answer. When I quit my last time I expected it to be for good (lol) so I gave my account to a friend that lives in the UK and then linked it to my SEID while I was playing XIV to give him the discount. Since I've came back now, I've considered linking my alt with the SEID as well to give us a mog satchel, but the new security feature I'm afraid will flag our accounts as suspicious activity if he logs in from the UK on one linked account and I log in from another from the US.
Anyone shared an SEID with someone that can confirm or deny this will happen?
Ugh double post.
i believe you only get a satchel if the token is activated on the account at some point while the char is linked, so assuming you arn't calling each other for token #s or something, you won't get a satchel anyway
Easy strat for non-brew Isegbind?
Have a DD hit it, and have a whm cure the DD.
Could also try the link I put here if you're having issue with VbV crap.
How exactly does scherzo work? All I've been able to find from searching is that it reduces the damage from severely damaging attacks based on your combined skill, which doesnt really clarify a whole lot.
If your combined skill is, say, 550... will it reduce the damage by 550? Or are there %-based tiers based on your skill? If there is, say, a 5k needles attack spread among 4 people, with 1200 max HP each, would all people need to be hit in order for scherzo to take effect, or could I just have the tank eat 5k and have it reduced to a manageable number?
Is it "if damage is greater than X but less than Y, damage is reduced by Z?" or is it more like migawari and "if damage is greater than X, damage is reduced by Z"?
I'm normally the type to go and test this out myself, but right now i'm in a position where I can't do this without wasting a lot of peoples' time.
Is there any way to set my spellcast up to prioritize my alt as the target?
ie: i've become accustomed to typing stuff like '//silena f' in the command line but my group is helping a guy who has reactivated and the traget 'f' now defaults to him and its pretty annoying since he is only able to stand and watch stuff be killed atm or am i just going to have to deal with it
People have posted that the Konschtat lotto NMs can be lottos of themselves, so he can probably pop twice in a row with no PH killed in between.
This post explains how to see PHs without Widescan (by the end of it they're all tagged with "!" in game):

Further down on the same page there's a list I made with several NMs, including all of Gangly Gean's PHs. Follow the guide and you'll be able to see them in game as tagged with "!"
