Best DNC group2 merits? Gonna be using it for random solo junk so was thinking 1 Saber Dance / 4 Fan Dance / 5 Closed Position. Also, as I don't have AF3 body yet, would be using Rapperee Harness & Goading (26%) or Loki's & Twilight (24%) be better inside abyssea for TP?

I'd use Rap+Goading (or Rap+Twilight if it lets you make another swap like hands -> Aurore).

For group 2 merits, I did 2 NFR, 5 Saber, 1 Fan Dance, 3 Closed Position and have never really regretted it. You're going to find that Fan Dance is the most useful in situations where you absolutely cannot get hit, or there's a TP move that bypasses shadows. In most of those cases, I'd argue that you don't need it more often than once every 5 minutes. Saber Dance 5/5 gives 5% more DA average than Saber Dance 1/5. CP is where I dumped my extra merits, because it sure doesn't hurt.

Well I'm currently LSless atm until I can server transfer, so it'd be really hard to let someone let me nab the axe off a kill. Pick up groups are ass and my nin is still shit because of uncapped skills (eva is really a pain). And alright on the 5hit. :<

Might be a bit of a long shot but have a look if anyone on your server is collecting alfard fangs for bow/axe/club. Never hurts to ask.

Masamune has the better WS and on currently the superior DD job. Can also 5hit vs 7hit on DRK which is a substantial difference.

Next update, it's going to be a lot closer.

Fudo isn't superior to Torcleaver. Fudo has easier to stack STR gear that's whole different thing. If DRK will get some VIT+/att+ pieces in next update and avg Fudo will lose to avg Torc you will say that Torc suddenly improved as WS or DRK gear suddenly improved?

Btw anyone made some math avg fudo vs avg torcleaver now?

Yes. No weaponskill exists within a vacuum. Its overall power depends on the gear that is available to augment it and which jobs can use it (along with what of those jobs enhances its power).

I would still check math for both before. I too think that avg Fudo will be a little higher but I think most ppl saying this w/o any proof. I'm wondering about outside abyssea especially because probably only outside those jobs (SAM and DRK) are relevant (well after update in DRK case but that's just 10 days)

I was just doing a trials and I attacks 6 times in a row but I heard it couldn't.

I wasn't in abyssea, so no atmas, I have no triple attack gear on and only 1 iga+2 piece(which shouldn't trigger the set bonus), I dont have epona's and I am only wearing some double attack gear(brutal/atheling/aurore body). I don't have enough haste to have no delay between attack rounds even if I swung 4 times so, can you double attack off of a double attack?

How? I'm @24% haste atm (with AF body) and with haste samba only and a single DA I attack "non-stop". Two DAs cause it to overlap.

It's like dividing by zero, it's just plain not possible.

It may have been lag then. I had haste samba and only 20% haste but not a lot of dual wield gear so it might have been attack rounds connecting together.

I don't see how they could be. Between 2005~2006(7?) ODS merc shouts filled Lower Jeuno/Whitegate all day. Unless they've somehow swapped stances on it.

If accuracy is a constant, I've never had skillup rate increase as I get closer to cap regardless what I'm fighting.

It really shouldn't matter, I sell gear almost everyday(though I don't shout). I just threw in that last part for the simple fact that GM's love to throw our random bullshit that isn't true. You should be fine no matter what the shout looks like, if a GM hassles you just ask for an SGM.
