So I've decided I want to get my bard into more parties so for lulz Im making a battle bard set, though I'm unsure of which direction to go and what kind of gear to aim for.
I'm thinking due to bard's access to a wide variety of mage gear an Aeolian edge build may be the best way to go, aiming for things like a mix of teal and hecatombs for the wsing, and running all out haste for melee. What are some key pieces bard has access to for combat?
Best atma for Wildfire on Dragua? Would it be relatively easy to kill 6 in one brew? Hopefully can 3, or even 2-shot it...(Been doing Cata for 5 kills, 4-ws per kill)
just burned BLM up to 75 over the weekend, i'll be getting it to 90 next week once finals are out of the way. what are the essential gearsets i should be looking at building? notable pieces outside the usual 5/5 AF3 and JSE pieces?
Brew atmas for DRG? Probably going to rely on Raiden Thrust.
I feel like this is still blurry. I have it set to 1920/1200, 3840/2400, Mip mapping 0. Is it/can I make it clearer?
Spoiler: show
It doesn't even look like it's hitting the 3840/2400 mark. Have you tried making it something lower, such as trying a 2048x2048?
Here's one with 2048x2048.

Recently returned to the game with a new character (lolGalka, but damn it after five characters, I am going to make a Galka if I want to). I'm working on BLU and WAR for 90, but I keep getting conflicting information as to what subs I'm going to need for those two jobs.
So, including situational subs, what am I going to want to level to 49 (I sure as hell don't want to go back and level my subs another four levels when the cap finally hits 99)? I want to get them all out of the way before making the final push on my two main jobs. I realize I'm probably over thinking it, but I don't want to get to 90 and then realize I'm missing a useful subjob.
NIN, RDM, THF, SAM, maybe WHM.
Edit: DNC too.
It's pretty common knowledge at this point, but haste values listed on equipment are not what they claim to be since they are divided out into 1024.
Items with 5% haste actually give 50/1024 which is 4.88%, 6% haste is really 61/1024 which is 5.95%.
My question is this: has anyone tested dual wield to see if it works the same way? I would assume it does, but I have no idea, and I don't know how you would go about testing to find out. I assume you could do something with checking tp gained/hit, but I don't know how to calculate all that, I will look into it should this post not help me out though.
What I really wonder about the job trait itself is, Dual wield 1 is 10%, 2 is 15%, 3 is 25%, 4 is 30%, 5 is 35%.
Lets say each trait that adds 10% adds 102/1024 (9.96%) and each trait that adds 5% actually adds 50/1024 (4.88%)
When you reach DW5, does it add 102 and 50 for each trait leaving you at 354/1024 (34.57%)?
Or does it recorrect with each trait and leave you at like 358/1024 (34.96%)?
I assume items like suppanomimi would just be 50/1024 bonus, nin af1 body 50/1024, etc, but I wonder how the trait really works, or maybe its not divided out into 1024s?
Any information anyone could give me on this would be helpful.
If you're wondering how this is useful/helpful, think of it like this, with twilight belt and full Iga+2 and Iga necklace with haste/marches+3x2 you could be anywhere from 79% delay reduction to 81% delay reduction, depending on how DW really works. I'm curious if tiercel would really be better then iga necklace in this setup, but I cant figure it out without knowing the specifics of how DW works.
(moving from 79.7% haste to 80% haste is more of a damage increase then crit damage +2% with 75% crit rate, assuming the acc on iga necklace does nothing)
Sorry if this is confusing, I tried my best to explain what I need to know (`ヘ´)
Good cor xml with wildfire set included?
i got back 2 weeks ago, and im still struggling with catching up with all the new trends/updates.
So far, as i was told to do the following (correct me if im wrong):
1- Cap your jobs to 90 (with subs)
2- get all 3 lunar abys. + atmas
3- AFs
4- weapons
im also lost as far as equip is concerned, there is so much stuff out there. Can anyone direct me to what to look for in equip, what are reasonable/good equips. All i see is full AFs with some exceptions.
and finally, any equip that i should be getting, other than the ones i've mentioned?
thanks.
EDIT:::
Also, whats up with evasion gear prices? they are quite expensive now.
Those priorities are about right.
With specific equipment, the old rules still hold. THF? You still want as much DEX/AGI as you can get for SA/TA, but you'll be whoring out that TH gear too.
The main changes are, with the new level caps in the face of old content, and cruor buffs/atma in abyssea, accuracy is generally capped but for a few nasty mobs, and you can EASILY hit the gear haste cap on most jobs, so you have much more room to pick gear with better stats but a slightly gimp haste.
(THF, for example. AF3+2 has haste on head, body and legs, and it adds up to 16%. Add in a Twilight Belt, and you're at 23%. You could drop the twilight to a Goading Belt and use Dusk+1 to hit 25%, and whatever damn feet you want. Or, you can use Ballerines, a 4% haste feet, and whatever hands. You have OPTIONS these days.)
Just hit here, https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Category:...mber_6.2C_2010 and click every "Update Changes" link as far back as you need.
If you know the math for your job, what's really important effect wise to what your job needs to do (protip: MACRO IN IGA KYAHAN+2 FOR UTSU/RAIDER' ARMLETS FOR SNEAK ATTACK), you can spot the important bits of new gear. If you just ride people's gear recipes, well...
i'd start farming lunars/atmas/abyssite after 1st (usefull) 90
Ok I´m aware this question has probably been asked more often than it should have been but here we go.
Absolute best possible Ukko´s Fury sets for inside and outside abyssea for Berserk/Aggressor up/down and Blood Rage up/down?
Quicky: Skill-up location for 250-350?
I tried some DC Colibri in Misareaux on my RDM dual-wielding sword (300) and dagger (254), and skill-up has been meh, even with double/triple-attack spam from atmas, and this continued to be bleh even after I made the camp level up to VT, at which point I said screw it.
I'm going to have to find lower-lvl mobs I'm assuming to get a better skill increase rate, any suggestions? Steelshell aren't too hot at the 250-range, and I can't think of any mobs that are higher but also aren't a pain in the ass to melee, or would hit me like a truck.
