Yeah, the only downside is that if they're for long term (i.e. you're not going to do a smite weapon or spharai), fire will obviously pull right back ahead when next level cap comes.

3 easy ways to do it

1 nin + heals, turn when miga's down
2 nins + heals, swap hate to keep migas up
3-4 dd, smash it before it can get dangerous

I two-boxed indrik multiple times mnk + whm. Don't dick around and kill him asap. Seemed like his lance move does more damage as time drags on. Full time counterstance, erase blind from w/e move inflicts it, use acc food/stalwarts if possible and he woudn't do more than ~2kish lance unless he absorbs blunt multiple times.

In regards to AF3, when on the +2 it says "Set: Augments ...", do you need all of the set for the augment? Or is it cumulative with each additional piece?

Each piece is usually an additional bonus.

Is that confirmed? I'm just wanting to make sure because it's worked both ways before. Some sets require everything, some only parts. I just wanted to know if anyone had tested on AF3.

Yes. It's very easy to test with anything that's not on 'occasional' type set bonus. You get +stats from BRD songs with as few as 2 pieces, +duration on RDM spells with 2 pieces, etc. Even with the occasional ones, I get the random double-damage DAs on WAR when TPing in 3/5 of the set.

Alright cool. Glad to know I don't have to wear it all if I don't want to.

    1241*.5 = 620 (or 621, I'm not sure)
620/2 = 310 (Dual wield TP is calculated off the delay of a single hand)
    (310-180)*6.5/270 +5 = 8.13 TP/hit, while 308 (50.36%) would give 8.0 TP/hit and 313 (49.56% DW) would give 8.2 TP/hit.

In that range, every 4-5 delay (16-20 delay combined pre-DW and /2) results in +/-.1 TP. It's a good range to test in.
Good catch, I wouldn't of noticed that til I started testing and went.... WTF!!
lol anyway, I managed to convince people to do dynamis Sandy, and I got a katana.

Repeating ideas for how it could work:
Scenario 1. DW traits auto stack and recalculate for each added trait no matter what it's from. This would give us 512/1025 or a true 50% with af3+2 head, af1 body, suppa and lvl 90 nin.

Scenario 2. DW traits stack and recalculate, and 'enhance dw' effect do not recalculate, this would give us 358/1024 for traits and 50/1024 each from suppa, af3+2 head, af1 body for a total of 508/1024 which is 49.6%

Scenario 3. DW traits each add a static number to the total, 102/1024 for 10%'s, and 50/1024 for 5%'s, this would put us at (102*2)+(50*6) for DW5 job traits and af3+2 head, suppa and af1 body. or 504/1024, or 49.21%

New maths for tp/hit in the new delay range:
    5.0 + [(Delay - 180) * 6.5 / 270]

    Test 1. 242+999 delay katanas: 162%tp after 20hits, 8.1/hit, matches S1 and S2.

    1241*.5=620
    /2=310
    -180=130
    *6.5=845
    /270=3.1
    +5=8.1

    1241*.504=625
    /2=312
    -180=132
    *6.5=858
    /270=3.1
    +5=8.1

    1241*.5079=630
    /2=315
    -180=135
    *6.5=877
    /270=3.2
    +5=8.2

    Test 2. 180+999 Delay katanas, 154% tp after 20hits, 7.7 tp/hit, matches S1 only.

    1179*.5=589
    /2=294
    -180=114
    *6.5=741
    /270=2.7
    +5=7.7

    1179*.504=594
    /2=297
    -180=117
    *6.5=760
    /270=2.8
    +5=7.8

So I was right with scenario 1, or DW is not broken down into 1024 like haste, and could just be a simple *.5 for 50%, *.55 for 45%, *.7 for 30%, etc.
If anyone has any ideas for how I could test this, please let me know! I'm just going to try mathing out what I should get for 55, 45, 40, 35 DW and seeing if it matches up.

    quick edit:

    242+999 delay, gave 176% tp after 20 hits, 8.8tp/hit with 45% DW.
Which is consistent with a straight 45% reduction, or *.55, which is consistent with what the math says. Will test more later today/tomorrow, kinda tired right now, and I found out what I really wanted to know, full iga+2 and twilight belt and suppa and no other forms of delay reduction from gear, with haste and both marches+3 is capped delay reduction.

    1241*.55=682
    /2=341
    -180=161
    *6.5=1046
    /270=3.8
    +5=8.8

    1241*.554=687
    /2=343
    -180=163
    *6.5=1059
    /270=3.9
    +5=8.9

Was wondering if anyone could give me advice on Ninja gear at 90 for someone who just came back and has no clue how to gear now. After looking at some Ninjas I kind of came up with: http://www.ffxiah.com/item-sets/211072 . No LS and not many friends play anymore so anything I get would have to be soloable or an easy pick up, that's why I didn't opt for things like Eponas Ring and +2 AF3. The main things I am thinking might be wrong are the Neck, Ring, Hands, and possibly throwing? Any help would be appreciated.

Some Ninja +2 is easy, don't be so quick to rule it out. Head +2 for example, if you can find someone doing the H2H empy weapon, they start throwing +2 away at some point. Some is hard, like Ketea

edit: Sorry for the somewhat unhelpful post with regards to gear. I don't actually know anything about how to gear ninja, I just know ninja +2 head is Ulhuadashi and we're throwing away upgrade items now in my static.

Oh really? Thank you for the advice. I just went through the wiki looking at all the abyssea NMs for the papers and when the mob had hard testemonials and stuff I kind of just ruled it out. Know better than to now though!

Since some happy Hamsters on Bahamut set out to get the Roundel Earring BC unlocked next week, is there any as-low-as-possible-man proven level 90 Strategy around for the actual BC fight?

When people make cruor farming parties, how is it typically done?

I know you need to alternate kills between mob families. Do people usually just find two mob families close by (say bats and mandragoras in Tahrongi) and move back and forth, or do they mass pull and just alternate kills between families?

What's the approximate cap on cruor/kill ... what's a reasonable expectation for cruor/hour - and how effectively can this be done solo, assuming lights are capped before hand (for TEs/cruor boxes)?

You also have to realize that many of those testimonials were written when the mob was first implemented. In the case of any Visions or Scars of Abyssea zones, we have gained 5-10 levels since then and have effectively made many of those mobs no longer even worthy of a testimonial.

Ran into something on this topic while I was searching the forums the other day for fortalices. Afaik you basically just pull campaign mobs one at a time without tags and ignoring the bosses. If you want more info try searching this forum for fortalice and you should see something on teh first page or 2 of responses.

@ninja gear guy. Poke your head around people farming for emps, you can probably leech some +2 items.

As long as you know how to kill it.

If you fight something like Ulhuadshi without knowing what the fuck, you'll probably get laid out by an Aeolian Void following Psyche Suction. Other visions mobs like Sobek, CC, the Corse and the Wamoura are just flat out jokes at this point... fought Bukhis once recently and it was a fucking horror show. Easily winnable, but you're gonna get face raped in the process, and there's really nothing you can do about it.

I forgot to add also that many people claiming some mobs to be hard don't have (or don't use) the proper atma or abyssites to make things easy or at least manageable. In all reality, nothing should be held as unattainable to you aside from maybe Epona's Ring unless you have a friend willing to brew it for you or you're willing to buy it from someone... or of course until you have access to 200k cruor brews. Everything else for a ninja (excluding Kannagi) can be easily obtained within a week or two. It may involve joining some shout groups if you have no friends to do things with but yeah. Kannagi will take you more time unless you have friends willing to hammer it out with you, in which case you can do it in a matter of two days or so.

Edit: After looking at your proposed gear set again, your main and offhand weapons should be switched.
