What kind of gear should I be looking at when I level my COR? It's at 75 right now. I remember back when I used to play a lot of people subbed whm and used it as support, but it's changed from then hasn't it? I vaguely remember having a melee tp set with joytoy back at 75 before I quit, was probably doing it wrong though. It's been so long.

Why for Rng using Wildfire is Sylvan neck adding more damage then a 0/25 mp Ugg pend? Yet Forban cape beats sylvan cape.. am I missing something about uggy pend activation? or is the assumed 8mab wrong?

because mp on pendant doesnt count for latent (base mp and visible gear only?) put one merit in mp, equip a mp- gear to drop them and switch back to normal gear

I'm finally getting around to leveling blu for grellow procs/cleaving. I always have a whm to follow me around (leveled me a whm mule and it's pretty well geared). With this information, would it really be necessary to carry around a spell interrupt set for blu? I see lots of people sub rdm for cleaving so i would have aquaveil if i needed it.. and solace stoneskin if that were to fail. It just seems like blu already takes up a lot of inventory space. Don't think i could actually hold situational and unneeded sets.

I'd say the phalanx also helps a lot, and if you're pulling any considerable amount of mobs, Aquaveil will be gone before you know it. I'm not exactly sure how spell interrupt gear beyond Aquaveil effects it or how it works when it's down, but I always thought the Phalanx in conjunction with the SS helped more.

So.... thinking about coming back when they release that Ultimate Collectors Edition: Abyssea edition. Having quit right before the MMM version update hit, before ACP mission pack was released, how big of a ride am i in for trying to play catch up after all these years? I've heard nothing but good things about Abyssea leveling and the WotG missions is something i'd really really like to do (last one i finished was Purple, the New Black).

Can you expect friend/group of friends/ls upon returning? If you know absolutely no one, then you might run into some trouble down the line unless you can dualbox and be willing do most abyssean things on your own. If you do know people whom will help you get back on your feet, then you're going to enjoy it as abyssea offers extremely quick exping.

I was leveling my DNC thru Dom Ops while I killed stuff on an alt. I was dnc/blm using Beyond/MM/Ultimate. I had no gear on. I was nuking with Blizzard a few times to get Azure's and just randomly cuz I was bored. Used Ascetic's Tonic when I remembered. Was killing Glen Crabs in Abys-Grauberg. Anyway, in the few hours it took to get from 37-45 I noticed about 3 or 4 times Blizzard did double damage.

What caused this?

Maybe you were doing half damage the whole time (you resisted), and 3-4 times you got lucky and did full damage.

This is also more likely considering /BLM you would only have 138 Elemental Magic skill, which factors into accuracy.

False I had the first Tyrant tusk kill my nin the other day.

Also had it first shot my blu in the same day (different pop)

Hmmm, maybe. Seems odd tho since I was doing consistent ~150. Figure if I was getting resisted I would see more 1/4, 1/8, and 1/16 resists, not just 1/2 resists consistently.

Though, there's not really any other good explanation. *shrug*

Would /SAM be the best sub job for Armageddon COR? I assume easy 5 hit would outweight anything /RDM, /WAR, /RNG would give?

The theory was you die if EITHER bio is on OR if you are hit but NOT the primary target. Did you get hit with someone else in range?

Nope, was the solo person getting hit in both situations. Also, Bio on/off still lived, so you can throw that out the door. Also was hit but was not the primary target, and didnt die.

Out of the 10 or so pops we have done so far, only once have i died to Tyrant Tusk, while that BLU and a BLM both died on their first Tyrant Tusk hit. ( i used Einherjar atma )

So whether the atma helps... i am sure it does to a degree. But i am sure its totally random just like the chance of dying without it is.
