I would cap pearl/amber on tier1 Vnm's, then I just assume I'd change atmas to ???
and find a group of mobs I can CW,sheepsong,CW,repeat?

Go to Tonberries, buff up and pull the non-casting ones only (theres about 12 or so of them) and actinic burst > CA/Efflux Whirl of rage > dream flower > rebuff(can skip if confident you will kill most of them) > BA whiskers > thermal pulse or other spell to pick of any leftovers. Then repeat for 20 hours for anything worthwhile in gold chest!

Yes should have staff for whisker, DEX is higher priority under BA.

Go into your init.txt file in windower and add .drawdistance set 5


So I've been thinking about some things for my future FFXI life. Considering the option of a dual box account. Right now I've got two 20 jobs and a 30 job. Working on fame for utsusemi then going to unlock NIN and sub it and unlock BLU for 90. I've got chocobo, level 1 fame everywhere, whitegate access, and PSC + Wildcat for Jeuno and Windy. So suffice to say I'm not too far in the "list of things to get accomplished". Is it good to start a dual box now and catch it up and get all stuff done alongside my main, or is it easier/better to wait til I have a 90 w/ more gil and the ability to help with transportation needs? For reference I'm probably going to choose RDM or WHM for the alt account as a PL / healing alt (seems to be the theme). Considering WHM since it's significantly cheaper.

war/rdm +40 MAB in trait and gear cosmos/smiting/griffin claw w/ cataclysm brewed = ....11k?? at 100tp(200) it did 11k, and 200tp(300) it did 14k. dosent this setup do upwards of 30k to dragua?

I'm pretty sure you cant use init for drawdistance, but maybe I'm wrong.

I use autoexec with a login event

I have .drawdistance set 20 in my init file, and I can see it loading the setting in console as the game loads the plugins without any errors.

Here's a good one for all the Beastmasters in the crowd:

I just started working on my BST, it's 72, What Ra/ex pieces should i be looking for (empy armor of course) but what about original artifact or relic, i havea few pieces in storage like hands and body i think, but i'm not sure what sort of harder pieces i should be looking into getting.
What jug pet should i be taking to abyssea exp parties? I assume the sheep once i'm that level, but until then just crab?

Why is there so many people still camping the shit out of +1 NM's (not talking about NM's necessarily for KI's for Emp's either)? It's like Abyssea just got released or something... Scars has been out for 3/4 a year just about, figured people would be done by now.

My guess is they are people like me. I just came back to the game and don't have ANY Abyssea stuff done. They probably just caught up to the +1s.
