So many like, 6-18 JP's on 1 NM, I mean if they were intelligent in the least, they'd split up, but all Nm's are on lockdown, even the most obscure 1's. All you see when you check people is white or blue border Emp gear.

I'm not complaining, as I dont need the NM's, it's just an observation and me asking question(s).

I'd like to know the answer to this too. My main PC hasnt had sound effects in over a year. I havent tried to figure out why, I can play dvd's, play music etc just fine. I can hear CS music etc but not sound effects, so weird.

When I did my seal farming, I collected and upgraded parts for the other jobs that dropped and stored them. Fight enough of them and you'll have +1 gear to ding into by the many.

they might be fighting the NMs trying to figure out which NMs have new drops.. with the items from the other zones.

Afaik only +2 NM drop +2 from Heroes, and the t2(not vnm?) and above NM's in Visions drop Scars +2.

So I've been thinking about some things for my future FFXI life. Considering the option of a dual box account. Right now I've got two 20 jobs and a 30 job. Working on fame for utsusemi then going to unlock NIN and sub it and unlock BLU for 90. I've got chocobo, level 1 fame everywhere, whitegate access, and PSC + Wildcat for Jeuno and Windy. So suffice to say I'm not too far in the "list of things to get accomplished". Is it good to start a dual box now and catch it up and get all stuff done alongside my main, or is it easier/better to wait til I have a 90 w/ more gil and the ability to help with transportation needs? For reference I'm probably going to choose RDM or WHM for the alt account as a PL / healing alt (seems to be the theme). Considering WHM since it's significantly cheaper.

Figured it out. Go to the Windower GUI and change Max Sounds to something higher than 0.

NIN + WHM Wyrm, BLM + BLM(or rdm) boob, BLM + BLM Behe.

This is assuming decent skill/gear.

Check your Windower GUI startup (which writes values to the registry). For some reason, it often sets MaxSounds to 0 (and you'll see there if it has).

Figured it out. Go to the Windower GUI and change Max Sounds to something higher than 0.

I was going to suggest this, but I figured you guys already tried it. @_@;

I've had sound issues with this before from onboard audio on an older mobo.

Does anyone have recommended settings for nVidia cards for the game? I'm currently using a GTX 460 card. What 3D settings should I be using to get best quality? (Performance won't be an issue..quad core 3.2ghz 4gb ram, etc..)

As for registry I have currently set 1920x1080 res with 1920x1080 bg res..mip mapping on bump mapping off (for the windower lighting..should i just enable this and not use windower lighting?) everything else set to "Smooth"

we did KSNM99s before the patch and the turtle wasn't super easy because of his high regen, we needed to bring multiple BLMs to nuke when he went in his shell with blizz V/IV/zga III/Freeze II etc. We had the timing down pretty good so all BLMs nuked to put him in the shell @ the same time and then all nuked to get him out.. rested MP then rinse repeat. Idunno how much the KSNM has changed though.

Currently on my war (lvl 90 Ukon) and mnk (WoE VS) I use VV, RR, and Apoc (use GH on mnk if I am the main tank). I was wondering if these are the best atma choices. Someone told me that DA and TA will cancel each other out if they both proc so I am more interested on if my war atmas are the best choice.

Also, I've noticed a lot of people mentioning bellicus cuisses for Ukko's, what is the appeal on those legs and is it possible for them to win out over af3? Also noticed people are getting +crit hit rate on byakkos, would those be the new legs to use?

I asked a long time ago, but never got an answer. With access to a total of 6 accounts, only 3 have BLM and 1 is 75, 2 are 90, others can be whm and rdm and brd, what could/should we do if we wanted to win the turtle ks99, it would be 2 of us playing 6 chars.

war/rdm +40 MAB in trait and gear cosmos/smiting/griffin claw w/ cataclysm brewed = ....11k?? at 100tp(200) it did 11k, and 200tp(300) it did 14k. dosent this setup do upwards of 30k to dragua?

Assuming SE doesn´t ninja fix crit dmg cap back to 50% RR/SS/Apoc looks to be the best combo as of right now (assuming you don´t need VV regain ticks for your 5hit I guess). Bellicus Cuisses can get Crit Hit Rate+3% and WS DMG+3% making them the best choice for Ukko's Fury as of now.
