You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

    The addiction continues (Sims Medieval)

I told myself I wasn't going to do it, I WASN'T....but then best buy had it on sale so....I fed me my crack.

Anyway, in case you guys were mildly interested I really do enjoy this version of the sims.

It uses the same core as the Sims3 engine (a lot of the movements/voices/etc. too are also ripped from Sim3), but the actual game play is quite different.

You're no longer focused on daily needs outside of food and sleep, and everything is quests. If you have played Sims3 World Adventures, the quests are similar to the goals in that, though they take a lot longer to complete.

It's also nice because you basically "build" up your kingdom and can expand it. Only downside to this though is you can't pick the style (outside that is, inside you can spend money to furnish just like other Sim games) or places of your buildings. You complete quests to earn points then spend those points to put down buildings. Each building has a hero (sim) that you create to live in, and you can use those heroes to take on quests.

The best thing I love about this is the fact it's more "forced" story mode oriented than the regular Sims game. I remember back in the day the PS version of the sims had a story mode, where it gave you tasks to go through as your sim progressed through better houses. I always felt the other sims games lacked in not having a story mode. Now this is basically full on story mode.

Downside: you can only control your hero sims, if you marry one of the villagers you still won't be able to control them, if you have kids you can't control them either. And in order to control a particular sim you have to take on a quest that they are able to do, and select them as the hero for that quest. You can take as long as you want to complete the quest (so you can spend time making friends, collecting, etc.) but you have to finish it in order to go to another sim.

Overall though I'm liking it a lot, and would say if you are a sims fan it's definitely one to pic up because of it being something different. Just don't expect it to be as free movement as the other sims games.

haha I forgot to mention for heroes they have daily goals too, you don't have to do them, but it helps you gain "focus" which helps you in completing quests.

One of the knights daily quest is to feed the monster. D:

So far...my knight fails at hunting though and he's always getting the crap beaten out of him lol...so I have to spend money to buy food at the village

    Oh ya...
