NY showed up for the first shift of the game. Caps showed up for the entire game. Dominant performance tonight, hope they can keep playing like this.

Neuvirth played a great series, idk what you are talking about. Caps D showed that's damn good this year and that it's a complete team effort now. He may not have had to make a ton of saves tonight but he made several big saves when the Rangers were starting to buzz a little.

I don't think this series was as close as people are claiming. Caps dominated Games 2 and 5. Game 1 NY got a lucky goal but the Caps outplayed them most of the night and it took awhile to crack Lundqvist. Games 3 and 4 NY played hard but the Rangers won Game 3 on a fluky goal and the Caps came out on fire in the third period of Game 4 which carried over to tonight.

I think a key moment in this series and in the Caps possible cup run is in Game 4. Boudreu elected NOT to pull Neuvirth after he gave up 3 quick goals. BB has had a quick trigger to pull goalies in the past and he stayed with him which I think gave him huge confidence.

lol, you gave up on your team in the first period and have been bashing them all day. Lundqvist was great all series but the only line that REALLY played hard every game was the boyle,avery,prust line. Gaborik was a complete ghost all series.

I knew the series was over the minute Chimera scored the goal on the assist from gaborik

Gaborik's been a ghost all year. Hopefully next year he reverts back to form as is his "on every other year" policy.

Like I said, McCabe, Gilroy, Drury, and maybe EC (though I'm fine with him on 4th line duties, he gets us points in the SO in the regular season) need to go. Valentenko or MDZ will be up next year, and we sign a Vet stopgap. Kreider or Thomas may make the team, if not get some decent guys like Laich for a year and let the kids keep developing. This team's a good 2 years away still, but we'll be good then.

Holy shit the Dave Bolland page on wikipedia is fucking hilarious.

Dave Bolland may quite possibly be insane. When he scores a goal, he never smiles. However, if he gets an Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty, he grins maliciously to the sin bin. He also uses phrases such as "dipsy doodling" on an almost daily basis and can be caught with his finger up his nose on camera while talking to pretty female reporters with no shame.
