That's all the Canucks need to win in order to move on to the second round. But this is the Blackhawks we're facing, and it's the playoffs. Canucks fans are well aware of the history these teams have had, and the last two games have given us a painful reminder of how good Chicago's team can play and how bad they can make the Canucks look. The entire nucks fan base believes we can win this game, but for many that's the only thing holding back large scale panic. If Chicago comes out and plays dynamite while the Canucks still play tentatively against them, Vancouver is going to need bulk Xanax.

The team wants to win, but if they don't they'll just move on and prepare for game 7. Not the fans though. They'll be too busy imagining the Canucks choking in game 7, thus completing one of the greatest choke jobs in sports history. But, if the Canucks win, their demons will have been exorcised and the team will gain a sense of relief and confidence that they can go all the way (until they run into Detroit).

One game. Win, and an entire city will exhale. Lose, and panic will reign.

I love playoff hockey.
