Actually I was thinking about this yesterday; at this point in the series I don't know if Vancouver really wins regardless of the score tonight. If they lose, obviously, explosions and OH GODS and collapse and etc., but even if they win, you have the stigma of Luongo getting pulled two games in a row, not getting started game six, and giving up the GWG when he did have to come play. Unfortunately AV broadcast to the world his level of confidence in his goalie. I don't think this is all on Luongo though, there is no way we could have undressed him in 4 and 5 without the defensive collapse we saw from the rest of the team. If VAN wins tonight, every team they face is armed to the teeth with ammunition against the Nucks. If they'd won this series in four or five, this would be a redemption story. If they win in seven, after the last three games, I don't think they'll have the same boost in confidence.
As for the Hawks.. we weren't even supposed to be here today, so win or lose, it was pretty awesome.
That's the worst part, he's the major unknown in this game. On paper the Canucks should beat the Hawks as we've looked like the better team when motivated. But if our goalie is on the verge of a mental breakdown in net who knows what could happen tonight.
Excerpt from a TSN article last night, "At one point he [Luongo] briefly left a media scrum when he became flustered by questions about his status."
I need another shot...
I think the first two goals will be bigger in this game than in any game ever, if the Hawks pot an early one or two, floodgates will be open.
going to see what I can do to temporarily breathe life into sassagecam for tonight when I get home
Honestly this is only an issue versus Chicago. The media members that know the Canucks don't like to say it too openly but he's really a head case against the blackhakws. Against other teams AV has the utmost confidence in Luongo. I think AV is probably pretty nervous to as this could be his last game coaching the Canucks.
If the Blackhawks pot 2 early the entire crowd could turn on the Canucks, it could get really ugly. Of course if the Canucks score it's going to be party central.
mmmm tequila
Bickell out for Game 7.
Burnin and a lootin toniiiiight
Hey if the hawks win, then the sharks get a rematch to avenge last year's sweep in the WCF.
I don't see the correlation between Bob Marley and Rodney King other than they're black you racist.
atm Chicago fans are around where they were during game 5 vs. Nashville, after Kane's goal but before Hossa's. Somewhere between 'is this really happening?' and 'OH PLEASE BELIEVE'
Goddammit Down Goes Brown, why you gotta join in the fun?

NHL: Insert your own Vancouver Canuck joke here.
The Chicago pressed interviewed him after game 6 and someone asked Luongo if he felt like he had the confidence of his coach, and the reaction he gave, looked like he was gonna kill a bitch. He like glared at the dude and was like "Excuse me? Yeah, why wouldn't I think I had his confidence?" So then the reporter said because he got benched for the game, and you could tell Luongo was pissed off at the question but then he started talking about how him and Schneider were the best duo this year, trying to make it look like he wasn't mad, but you could tell he was. I tried finding a clip of it but no luck so far.

I also have probably watch the Blackhawks intro video ten times now, that I wanted to embed here but it appears youtube doesn't have the playoff version of it used in the UC, so a link to it is all I can provide atm lol.
