it's more along the lines that they haven't gotten any momentum going. it's hard when your the away team, but when your O isnt stepping up it makes it damn near impossible.

hopefully the flurry of activity at the end of the third is just news of things to come.

Hard to be mayad this morning, but...

Caps reverting back to their tactics from the Montreal series from last year. 0-for-a bunch on the power play, top six forwards generating very few chances even strength, and one or two glaring mistakes taken advantage of by the opposition. When they're trailing, they get too cute with drop passes to no one and randomly flinging pucks at the net. They've made a conscious effort to send it hard around from the red line, but they're not winning board battles so it's not exactly a solution. Roloson has been good but not the God-mode goalie he's been made out to be. Long story short, they deserve to be down 0-2 in the series and will really need to get their shit together, especially on special teams, to make it any kind of a series.

The silver lining is Marcus Johansson is growing up right before our eyes. He was one of our best forwards during both games, and has more speed and a better nose for the net than Backstrom did at his age. He's not as strong on the puck, or as deft a passer, but they should be a delicious, Swedish one-two punch at center for years to come.

Karl Alzner is also having a great series, playing physical, blocking shots, and staying out of the box.

So, reading around on Kings forums about this past season and seems like all the Kings fans want Doughty gone. Calling him a show boater and a cancer to the team.

Yeah, lets trade a 21 year old defensemen that shaping up to be one of the best in the league. hes freaking 21 and still has a lot to learn. He still shows some immaturity in his game but again, hes 20 freaking 1.
