The part that shocks me is all these people who aren't "Detroit" fans they are a fan of another team and they still want Detroit to win? wtf? If my team was out of it best believe I'm not rooting for the team that gets a championship every fucking year if anything I'm rooting against that shit see: Steelers, Lakers, Pats, Yankees etc shit man does no one root for the under dogs anymore? Sharks haven't even made it to a championship and people shit in our cereal every year without a real reason

Tigers winning 5 strait, ending the Yankees streak last week, Verlander's second no hitter less then 5 years after his first one and only he's 28.

and well i dont much car about the pistons or basketball since it's a one man show.

Regular season hockey is fun but it's not as intense as Playoff season. Same for baseball. But when was the last time you saw any other Detroit sport team in the playoffs?

Yea i understand that i have a friend who was born and raise in NJ but he's cheering for the Sharks. I understand if your a fan of a certain player and you follow him from team to team, but he's one of those band wagoning faggots. and his tears are oh so tasty.

But you got to look at the teams playing to. You have the red wings a team over the past couple of years (since babcock) that has toned down on a lot of the controversial play, diving, dirty hits (Don't even want talk about Kronwall), and put a emphases on skill. Hell look at two of our greater players Pavel Datsyuk and Zetterberg who where both drafted below the 5th round. so it's not like it's an all-star team they picked in a draft the built up these players in their AHL teams.

Dear god I hope not, was bad enough with the Giants last year. As I tell my wife (who gets pissed when she see's a team she roots for lose), a real fan stays for the bad, and enjoys the good. That said, there's a 50/50 chance I may be calling in sick to work friday from Alcohol poisoning depending on the results of the game.

What you are seeing is not more of a Detroit bandwagon btw, it's more of a "anyone but Vancouver" bandwagon, and Detroit presents the best chance for that to happen. If the Sharks avoid the epic meltdown, like Cally said, people will be saying "Go SJ!" Firmly entrenched however, personally, on the Lightning bandwagon because out of the remaining teams I like them the best lol.

A lot of people enjoy the come from behind storyline, regardless of how good the team is that is coming from behind. I know a lot of Canucks fans on other boards want to face the Wings, some because they want to keep on with the "The road to the cup goes through Hockeytown" tradition, some because they think the Canucks match up better vs the Wings than the Sharks. Some want the Original 6 matchup. A lot really like a few of the players on the Wings (generally Datsyuk and Lidstrom). There is some central-division solidarity (though not a ton) and some pacific-division hate. And of course a whole lot of schadenfreude.

You can post your dislike of bandwagoners and people who are against the Sharks as much as you want, I have no issue with that, but it happens in every sport and in hockey it isn't nearly as bad as any other sport.

Yea, baseball and football I'd say are the worst. Basketball really only has the Lakers/Heat hate, mainly due to Kobe/James. Why I stick mainly to the rivalries, especially in Baseball. Giants/Dodgers, Cardinals/Cubs, Yankee's/Red Sox, Mets/Phillies, Detroit/Minnesota is some of the best baseball you can watch.
