You might have missed it but one of the Atlanta owners owns part of a basketball team and after their game the other day an journalist asked him on air what he would say to thrashers fans. He said "If you know anyone who wants to own the Thrashers to give us a call". Uhhhhhhhh wow.

From what it sounds like Atlanta could be really fucked.

Tampa pretty much accomplished everything they set out to do from the first goal onward. In a series where both teams are undefeated after scoring first, TB got the notch.

The scary part watching this game is the further you fall behind, the more the 1-3-1 eats you up. With a lead, TB can afford to play it all the time. With a lead, the neutral ice turnovers have even more room to counterattack.

I think come game 2, Boston is going to open with a much more physical-oriented game. It's like facing Montreal all over again - you cannot hope to skate as fast as their players as a Bruin, so you might as well hit them. Some players, like Gagne, are particularly vulnerable to serious physical play, something largely lacking from Boston.

One more brain fart - Boston's PP hasn't changed a bit. It's really bad. They look so... stiff on the ice. Very little moving around from your position. Slow across the blue line. Lots of passing outside - no cross-ice attempts.
Kaberle took, I think, two shots tonight and they were so surprising to everyone they found Roloson (and one ALMOST went in). Granted he's not known for his shot, but if you shackle Kaberle with "Pass every puck to Chara" it looks so stale and forced, and nobody is surprised when Chara's lane is covered.

Interesting fact. You can't just buy beer at a grocery store / gas station / church in Canada. You need to head to a government licensed store. Ie. Liqour Store.

Anyways brutal game by the Bruins. Not sure why they pulled Timmy with 2.5min left to get scored on 14 seconds later. Down 3 and no chance of a come back.
