Interesting fact. You can't just buy beer at a grocery store / gas station / church in Canada. You need to head to a government licensed store. Ie. Liqour Store.

Uh, you can buy beer and some wines at grocery / corner stores in quebec...hard alcohol is limited to the SAQ (which is basically our liquor store).
