    Now I really wish I could stay in Vancouver through Tuesday night. City is going to be nuts.

    Getting lots of tweets about Caps' top ginger prospect Cody Eakin in Memorial Cup game on NHL-N right now. Fucking pissed I'm stuck at work.

    If you don't have to race back for work you should totally stick around. Downtown will be a party if we win. Sucks I'll be doing a 12 hour work day probably

    Thor, you were absolutely right. I should have gone solo :/

    Houston lost in Double OT to Hamilton, 5-4. Going to a game 7, and they're trying to shark the series there too, since they were up 3 games to none... esh

    Haha oh wow:

    @Buccigross John Buccigross
    During the 2010-11 regular season, the Canucks scored just 1 goal on a 5-on-3 situation, tied with the Oilers for the fewest in the NHL.

    While that's hilarious, the Canucks did only have 9 chances 5 on 3 this year for a total of 7 minutes and change which is tied for the lowest amount of chances in the league with Phoenix. They were missing Salo who is a huge part of their 5 on 3 PP for most of those chances as well. By comparison some teams had 20+ chances 5 on 3.

    The shots per goal in game 2 and 4 for the Canucks is hilarious.

    I've spent the past two nights at work crafting my perennial Capitals offseason rant analysis. I'll probably unleash it between the Conference Finals and Stanley Cup Finals. Spoiler alert: I hate myself and I want to die.

    lol Puck Daddy has a link to a story about Mike Keenan being a possibility for the coaching job in Dallas. I thought NHL teams had finally learned that he is not a good coach for this era, or any era where he doesn't have Brian Leetch on his team.

    Now that i've had time for my rage to simmer, god the sharks pissed me off last night. 0-5 in powerplays in the first 22 minutes, then you basically hand Vancouver over 2 minutes of 5-3 power plays. Take out that horrendous stretch in the second and I felt we played decent. Probably would have won even if we didn't forget how to play for about 7 minutes in the second period. To be honest it's not even a case of Vancouver beating us. It's san jose beating san jose. If Vancouver went up against detroit, I honestly think the wings could have swept them.

    I don't believe that. The 7 game series has taken a toll on the Sharks. I don't doubt it would have taken more of a toll on the Wings. A wings/canucks series would have been closer that's for sure. Also Kesler loves playing @ home. Home being Michigan.

    Heatly isn't that great in the playoffs, except that year Ottawa went to the finals. I think he was close to being a point a game that year. However this season he's no where to be seen. Shark fans, do you think he's injured?

    If he's injured, he's hiding it well. He's had a few good shots, some close plays, but yea he's pulling a Marleau this year.

    Do not underestimate our ability to replace one terrible coach with another.
