As expected, the Bruins announced that Horton's out for the rest of the series due to a "severe concussion".

Of all the games I had to miss I'm not too mad it was this one, and through the magic of the youtubes I got to witness Thomas' beautiful, beautiful crosscheck. I don't want Boston to win, just Thomas.
Disciplinary meeting should be going on right now with Rome and the NHL, awaiting the outcome. There's going to be an absolute firestorm if nothing happens to Rome, given the NHL's blunder on the biting incident. If Rome walks free, it's going to make the NHL look really, really bad, not to mention all the conspiracy theorists that will pop up (dating back to Torres hit on Seabrook.)
Uh, what blunder on the biting incident? Was the correct call.
Ok, because biting someone's hand is acceptable when there is video proof. There's no place for that in the game, people get a glove to the face every game and there's never any biting that goes on. Look even Mike Milbury said Burrows should of been suspended, and Milbury is a complete jackass who is generally laughed upon with anything he says. This isn't the case this one time.
I agree with Aurik.
I hate to cite such a show and television figure, but Tony Kornheiser (sp?) was right on Pardon the Interruption last night. If you're in a fight and you're dumb enough to stick your fingers in your enemies mouth, you're asking to get them bit, its natural reaction in the heat of a fight and Tony said himself if he were in a scrum and in Burrows shoes, he would've bitten the fingers as well - albiet, probably like Burrows, without thinking - its just an instinctive reaction from our more primal days.
I'm not liking this weird mini-cult obsession over Tim Thomas though. He's an overrated goalie. There's a reason he didn't make it big til he was 35 - he didn't have a super defensive team like Boston in front of him. Fleury's first couple years with Pittsburgh the Penguins sucked complete ass and even during those first few years he was still stealing a handful of games every season in his early 20's. Thats why Fleury was a #1 draft pick and Tim Thomas was a washed up scrub for a good dozen years....
Timmy Thomas - the only goalie who challenges Brodeur's faggleness.
Tim Thomas says:

GET THE FUCK OUT
So I missed the game but was watching the highlights. Fucking amazing that every few minutes someone was putting their fingers up to vancouvers lips. Thomas is my new hero, etc.
Rome got 4 games. I'm ok with that.
Thomas actually didnt make it till he was older because he spent A LOT of his older years over seas where he WAS a top goalie there. He made it here when he decided he wanted one last try to make the NHL and his first 2 seasons, he was actually a back up for the Bruins but then stole the job each year. Hell, even this year he was told he was washed up but AGAIN stole back the starting job while setting a new GAA record.
Im sorry Sepukku, if you really don't see how good of a goalie he is, or how many games he has stolen/kept Boston in for over the years, I really don't know what to say. Hell, Boston had no business being in game 1 but Thomas stood on his head for them.

Basically out for the year and who cares about regular season games next year.
Essentially the same penalty Tie Domi got back in 2001 when he elbowed Niedermayer in the face
