Of all the games I had to miss I'm not too mad it was this one, and through the magic of the youtubes I got to witness Thomas' beautiful, beautiful crosscheck. I don't want Boston to win, just Thomas.

I was "surprised" with reservations to a nice steakhouse last night, but before I left I DVR'd the whole game so now I'm eating leftovers and enjoying some blindsidin', goalie-roughin' good hackey. Also this gif is the best thing ever:

Thomas actually didnt make it till he was older because he spent A LOT of his older years over seas where he WAS a top goalie there. He made it here when he decided he wanted one last try to make the NHL and his first 2 seasons, he was actually a back up for the Bruins but then stole the job each year. Hell, even this year he was told he was washed up but AGAIN stole back the starting job while setting a new GAA record.

Im sorry Sepukku, if you really don't see how good of a goalie he is, or how many games he has stolen/kept Boston in for over the years, I really don't know what to say. Hell, Boston had no business being in game 1 but Thomas stood on his head for them.

I'd like to see how many he's kept them in vs how many he's cost them, because his over aggressive play, from the eyeball test, says he's not that good. He's average at best over the long haul, which is IMO what determines how good you are.

Also I'm frightened that there's BS rumors about Thomas on the Flyers. Would be terrible. ugh

4 games for Rome is more than he should have gotten in light of some other circumstances, but people will view it as alright because he is a bottom pairing player, and he knocked out a good player on the other team for the rest of the playoffs.

Also for the concussions vs other sports, I think the only hit in other sports that is comparable to big hockey hits are open field hits by safeties, and for the most part tackling needs to be done in such a way that you avoid significant head contact.

The biting thing is somewhat blown out of proportion, it's not something that caused an injury, and even though it was a shitheaded move it could have been avoided by giving a proper facewash.

I like Thomas for his antics and anger more than anything else, so really I like to see him get scored on.

With Rome out I pray to god AV paid attention to how well Ballard and Tanev played against SJ and pull Alberts out and puts them in. Also I'm wondering if Hamhuis is going to be able to play at all this series because oh lordy was he missed last night.

Also Van PP is terrible right now. I can't even make jokes about Boston PP anymore since we seem to be helping them score on it as well.

And I think you are wrong, if Burrows got a game it would have died there and Boston would have moved on, especially since it wasn't Boston that started the mocking again, it was a Vancouver player, Lapierre, that started it again in game 2 when he put his finger right in front of the mouth of a Boston player.
