Goalies get penalties?
Goalies get penalties?
going to say that the luckiest person in this entire series is Peverley for being traded off of Atlanta before the deadline lol
Game was fine it's the stanley cup finals the home teams are getting the bounces. Canucks need to make sure this trend continues.
i'm kind of happy the wings aren't playing cuz i would be scared of what Thomas would do.
hint: FITE
If Thomas trains hard, takes his vitamins, eats right, and prays everyday he could become Ron Hextall. And the NHL will feel the thunder of his mighty slash for years to come.
This. The slash tonight was clearly a violation, just because it was retaliation doesn't make it not a penalty. The hit on Sedin was perfectly legal. You cannot initiate contact outside of the crease. Sedin was within the crease, Thomas was within the rules to 'initiate contact', there's no clause that says the 'contact' can't be wrecking someone's shit with a body check.
Update, Thomas did get a slashing penalty, NHL.com is just REALLY slow at figuring out who got what penalty apparently.
Thanks.
Elliotte Friedman tweeted the following last night
"Luongo asked about Vancouver fans cheering when he was pulled: "Next question." Disappointed look."
Pretty sure his confidence right now is shot. He looked off last night. Curious to see if he can rally back on Friday, if not congrats on your cup Boston. Bet he wishes everyone was still talking about the Burrows bite.
Thomas is quickly becoming one of my favorite players to watch. Watching him punk Burrows with that slash at the end was fucking hilarious.
