I was wrong! Boooooooooooo
less hockey is never good
Great series. Hope Bruins blow Luongo up in Boston again then he shuts them out in Game 7. For the lullz.
Thomas for Conn Smythe no matter what.
LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
That new guy too, Tanev iirc, played like a boss. Should have been 2-0, but Glass forgot how to shot web. Van needs a decent performance in Boston, because the non-goaltender corps really shit the bed in G4. G3 was a total epic fail...Luuuuuuu should have bailed the team out on a couple mishaps in G4, but every goal can be attributed to epic epic luck (#2: off salos stick, a luck deflection off someones glove) or bad defensive breakdowns (#1: Erhoff made a stupid play, #3: ballard decided to stay on the ice instead of getting up after the blown non-call)
Having said that, my money is on Boston taking 6, then trolling Vancouver and taking 7 as well. If all goes well though, Vancouver shows the fuck up in Boston and steals 6.
Boston's played the series like a boss so far. 2 blowout wins and the 3 wins Vancouver had, Vancouver was nearly perfect. 2x1-0 games and an OT winner.
They should just leave Luongo in Vancouver and play Schneider for game 6. That way he'll be nice and rested after they screw the pooch on Sunday.
Chris Tanev played an amazing game. Bieksa said he was so cool and calm out there he could have played with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. Good game for the rookie. Our whole D was looking better, especially Edler.
Over 100,000 people were out in the streets last night in Vancouver. I went down to see the crowds and get some vids on my phone. Amazing experience, all along Granville street it was a wall of people and that was just for our 3rd win. Win #4 is going to see an epic crowd.
Could say the same about the Boston Montreal series...it took Boston 3 OT wins (one off a clearly botched OT call, and 1 double OT), winding up tied in goals (17 each), being outpointed (4-3-0 8 pts vs 3-1-3 9 pts) to eliminate a team missing some top players, and now these thugs are in the cup finals. Thats how things just go though...it doesnt matter how you win, just as long as you win.
I give Lu 6, I recapped the goals in G4, Lu wasnt so hot, but his team left him high and dry.
And yet again, its all about Montreal.
center of the universe.
By the way, Congratulations to the Binghamton Senators for winning the Calder cup in 6 games over the Houston Aeros.
about time New York got to celebrate a championship again.
I'm referencing my team...holy shit, no way, you mean I'm using the team I actually follow as a point of reference instead of using some other team that I dont really follow and wont know much about, no fucking way, which is also one of the teams that one of the teams in the cup finals just happened to have played on their path to the finals, NO FUCKING WAY
Jornna talking about the kings, all you talk about is the kings, kings this kings that, wah gretzky didnt win us a cup (oh and btw your best chance was thwarted by the center of the universe habs, since I have to make reference to montreal somehow right)...kings kings kings, i'll say that every time you mention anything about the kings, sacramento or los angeles
I dont allude everything thats going on in the NHL world being tied to the Kings though, lol.
Don't recall any post anywhere where I "cried about Gretzky not winning us the cup"
I made a comment in response to "vancouver barely beat the bruins at home" saying it doesnt matter how you win as long as you do win and made reference to how boston barely made it past montreal and now theyre in the cup finals. I could have said the same towards how vancouver almost sharked it up in the first round to chicago, and yet still made it to the finals...but based on the facts I previously mentioned about the habs/bruins series, makes the point "a win is a win" even more telling. But all you see is "talking about Montreal, Montreal all that matters, bla bla bla bla"
Vancouver has looked like epic fucking garbage in Boston and barely won games at home, so it looks like Boston has been the better team...it doesnt matter which team has looked better, its still 3-2 Vancouver.
And I'll agree to a previous point, as much as I fucking hate Boston, as much as I think Tim Thomas sucks, gets ridiculously lucky and is backed by a strong defensive corps...I'd be pretty disappointed if he doesnt get playoff MVP, win or lose.
I don't remember what i did after the game. $6 high balls are evil. Ballard may be a Canuck because due to his injury still might not know the system that well. Tanev played like a boss and makes Ballard seem like a chump. I won't say the refs were horrible, but like the other 4 games obvious missed calls for both sides.
Game 6 will be tough as the crowd will be loud. If Vancouver can continue to play physical and win the puck battles, it will be a good game. 1st game is important to silence the crowd. Head Bieska & Burrows sat a restaurant for 30min in Boston and owned said they ran out of food. If this is true, so classy. >.<
