Jesus Christ, CTV feed is just like, I can't believe this is airing live. People filming live beatdowns and fights, they interviewed a couple of kids and the kids were like "This is fucked, this is disgraceful" among people in the background yelling "fuck Boston." The anchors in studio aren't even apologizing for the language, not that I care personally, but others might. Are broadcast regulations more lax in Canada, or is it more sort of a "nothing we can do given the situation" type of deal?

Yeah, I'm watching the same feed and bouncing back to CBC from time to time. CBC is reporting a couple of stabbings, but didn't say anything about any deaths yet. St. Paul's hospital has tubs of cleansers just out on the street for people that were hit by the tear gas.

Just got home and eyes are burning from tear gas. Fucking idiots i hate you all. City is burning, people still looting. Rumor that a body was found in the burning car. Also rumored the person who fell off the viaduct is dead. Code oranges @ the downtown hospital. Because of these morons Vancouver will no longer have giant TV's for any future events. The cost to keep clean up this crap will be enormous. As much as the idiots are to blame. The RCMP had no control over this either. Even before the game started people on the skytrain were screaming and we're obviously trashed. 125K people in a 2 block radius and a large majority drinking, did the police really expect nothing to happen. The fires were left to burn, didn't see any fire trucks make an attempt to put them out.

To all the Boston fans, congratulations on a well deserved cup. It was down to the last game, couldn't have gotten any better. Questions will start soon as the cause of the loss. I expect Luongo to take some heat, deserved but not all the heat. Sedin twins did there best, and an interesting fact. Star players usually never shine during the finals. Always the 3rd/4th line and this series Boston dominated, especially the 4th line. I expect some changes to the 4th line for the Canucks. This will be the biggest change.

Glad you made it home safe, get some water to rinse out your eyes as best as you can. Were you out in the chaos that they're showing on tv just trying to pass through to get home? Also, how close is the arena to where all this is going down, similar part of the city or opposite end?

All the shots you saw on TV before the game, the burning crap was right in the middle. The arena itself is about 6-8 blocks away, the CFL team arena is closer to the epicenter of the fires. We were originally at the waterfront in an area called Gastown, a few friends were DT watching the giant TV's. We wanted to get to them and get them out. 2 girls needed some support. Lol.

Edit: I can tell you, being in Surrey right now, there have been no riots or jihads or anything. It's actually pretty calm here.
