Wow that was close, talk about some luck for the hawks. Twice, alas it was not enough luck.

Incoming bans fellow Canadians! Take cover!
Officially rooting for Detroit just so I can root for a team that should beat these assholes.
I'm not liking my Phx pick right now.
Well, could have been worse of Chicago fans. They could have simply not made the playoffs at all.
I caught 5 seconds of the game. Need to d/l this game from somewhere. 1 more game.
Brutal hit. Since he got suspended, NHL will probaly throw the book at him.
I feel like if it was anyone else it would be 0-2 games, but because it was his first game back from a suspension from a very similar hit, he could get anything.
Because his shoulder slammed into Seab's head when he wasn't looking and in a position to defend himself and the NHL is trying to limit concussions and has since ruled that any shots to the head are grounds for a suspension.
It was a hit to the chest though. If he has his head down, who's fault is that?
*EDIT* sorry, not the chest, but if his head is down like that, where else are you gonna hit him without crouching to make the hit?
It wasn't a blindside hit though. He hit him head on Seabrook just had his head down. If you can't hit a player head on just because his head is down what are they going to do when people start putting there heads down on purpose right before a hit to draw a penalty. Are they just going to eliminate hitting?
Here's a picture of the point of contact for reference

As you see it's straight on and his arms are down.
He didn't hit him in the chest, even the announcers in the clip above said he turns his head to accept the puck and then just gets run over. Go to the :28 second mark and tell me that he doesn't lay his shoulder into the head, not the chest.
The hit was clean the defensemen FAILED to keep his head up. If Seabrook can still read english he should look at this link http://hockeyplayertips.blogspot.com...r-head-up.html (there's a picture of a kid more qualified to suit up for the hawks at this point).
The bigger question is. Why didn't the NHL pull Seabrook into the room and put him back onto the ice later.
Well I'm basing my answer off what Jim Hughson and his lackey (albeit I see where the credibility fails) said. Right now it's an honour system. An official can't tell a player to go into the quiet room they have to go on their trainer's accord.
