my boyfriend just took a course from phoenix because it was the same price as the local community college and didn't involve having to change his work schedule. needless to say, he was not impressed. people were literally googling the questions and copying and pasting the answers into their assignments and the teacher didn't care. the school may be accredited, but i don't know how much a degree from a school that lets people get As for copying and pasting is worth.
The learning process is improved significantly when you're writing the answer you googled onto the paper yourself.
Edit: The most important thing you'll learn in college is how you learn and how to find out what you don't know. I personally don't care if you got your degree from Cracker Jack University so long as you aren't shitting up the work place, you're doing your job, and you can adapt to new technology.
Also, I'll add that it takes a more mature person to learn from online classes. Don't do it unless you're highly motivated and you are actively involved in learning. If you're going to google the answers and copy and paste them don't waste my tax money, go work at Geeksquad.
