I also want the mammoths to appear.
Just finished the last book
I might have missed it or skim it but is the Horn Jon gave Sam the Horn Mance Rayder was looking for?
I would have thought so to.. but there must be a reason he hints at it in multiple books while never expanding on it much more then a sentence or two.
only thing that is kinda annoying is the ambiguity of some of his character death scenes. especially.. in book 4
Oddly, the only real spoiler I am eager to know asap with ADWD isSpoiler: show
Oh, and to answer a question a few pages ago about my idea on the Jon/Dany sibling like releationship. I'm not suggesting I wouldn't like to see them romantically involved. I mean it seems very set up in that the Targaryens are known to intermarry etc and that if the family line is going to continue one of them needs to have a child. But part of me wants Jon to be like Aemon and remain true to his vows as a man of the Nightwatch. True, he's already fallen once but... Anyway, for this to happen Jon could really only have a relationship with Dany like that of a sibling; reguardless of if they are cousins or whatever. Age wise they are closer to bro/sis.
I might not be making a lot of sense with this but its just one small idea of mine. Like many people, after Eddard was killed in GoT I learned to just ride the ride for this series, enjoying it for its unpredictiblity among many other things.
FUCK THAT I'M STILL HOLDING OUT HOPE SAM BECOMES THE REAL HERO OF THE STORY AND SPLITS SOME NIGGAS WIGS WITH HIS MIGHTY HORN OF WINTER+1.
FAT GUY POWER
They're too old to form a sibling relationship now. You gotta do that kind of thing young.
on the other hand why didn't mance use the horn when the fight was lost at the wall? I remember a specific scene were Ygritte was crying and Jon asked what was wrong and she said she was crying because they never found the horn of Joramun/winter.

You must've skipped a lot of the final book.
When Jon confronts Mance with that information he confesses that they have also kept secrets. Just as well it's pretty easy to take from Mance not using the horn that the risk of losing the wall would be detrimental to everyone.
Also, Ygritte will be in the show if only for the pre-established sex scenes.
Its actually aSoS but yeah Skipped Jon's last meeting with Mance apparently. just reread it and you're right.
stop skipping chapters you goofball
What's the point in even reading the books if you're going to skip the chapters? Even though I found A Feast For Crows dreadfully boring, I still read the entire thing. I understand getting to the good parts, but part of that is the buildup.
well I didn't read the books I listen to the Audio book (I have the books too) . I do skip over POV's that I don't particularly find interesting like Dany, the Iron island folk after Theon disappears and the Dornish prince.
It just so happens I must've skip ahead to far in the audiobook and missed the conversation.
Besides whats the point of this thread if I can just read everything
yeah and half the fucking story
Just the boring half
even if you don't like her how could anyone find Dany's story in Storm boring
How could anyone find anything boring that they've never read. He literally does not have any idea how exciting it actually is.
I assume he based her story around what he saw in her first chapters of book one? You should try that with Eddard, it really changes the dynamics of the rest of the books to imagine he's there saying for honor and shit.
