Not to mention the Bloodraven...
To further confirm Jon's parentage, Ned doesn't list him as a child of his when he's thinking of his children while imprisoned.

To be fair Jon was a bit of a whiney cunt early on. His time in the north made him into a badass and taking over the night watch only furthered that.
Edit: goddammit I want that sixth book now! Have to reread the early ones again I guess.
Lies and propaganda.
And I won't stand for it.
See you in 2016!
I'm genuinely curious how his parentage will be revealed. Who alive would know the truth? Mallister maybe? Is he still alive, I can't remember if he died.
Check, he is imprisoned, but still alive.
Only "Wylla" and Howland Reed (for sure) know of Jon's parentage
Oh, I feel stupid now. It's amazing how shit comes back to you.
You guys are late to RLJ theorycraft. I hope it isn't true out of principle. Such an idea must be dashed to the winds and the fans of it must have their hopes crushed.
Its interesting, because it all makes sense on paper.
I don't want to rush him for #6 and #7, but for fucks sake, while we're young grrm
I haven't. I'm late to the discussion of all theories, as up until a few days ago I kept my speculation to myself.
I'm really liking the Lyanna-Rhaegar theory, though. It really does seem to fit best. I hope it's not true, though. I like to be surprised.
Jon Snow's backstory will be explained by Eddard Stark to Bran in the Weirwood tree.
I have a strong feeling that would happen too, Eddard contacted Bran in his dreams about Jon.
One thing that's still ongoing - WHO WILL BE AZOR AHAI?
If its Jon...fuck. Bastards 4 Lyfe
also: game of thrones video game comes out tuesday
I'm really scared to play it because I know the graphics and gameplay are going to be nowhere on par as the story (grrm had a hand in this). But I guess it will be rewarding to finish it
Game will probably be really bad, but I'll probably get it to support GRRM and for shits and giggles.
it's definitely Jon, in a sense
born amidst smoke and salt, his wounds were smoking + Bowen Marsh was crying, beneath a bleeding star, the sigil of the knight Wun-Wun tore to pieces was a star. and when Melisandre asks to see Azor Ahai in the flames all she sees is snow (Snow)
Dany is the other choice as she was "reborn" in the funeral pyre beneath the red comet which could be construed as a bleeding star + sacrificed her love for her weapons (lightbringer = dragons) just as Azor did. plus she actually, you know, woke dragons from stone.
but everyone assumes Azor Ahai = The Prince That was Promised so it must be one or the other, but it seems Martin has set both of them up to be the central figures in the war for the dawn so perhaps they are each one of the mythical figures
I'm more inclined to think Bran will just watch Jon's backstory on IMAX 3D on Treetube on the Weirdwoodnet instead.
Something that bothers me is the mummer's dragon, for a while, I thought it was meant to be Stannis, (I know he's not -loved-) because of the whole Azor Ahai business (him being a dragon because his grandmother was a Targ hence the Baratheon Bros. claim to the Iron throne) and the mummer being Melisandre but then came Aegon ....gah!
im gonna feel bad if an ill fate befalls aegon cuz he is just a boy and cuz jonny con is working so hard to get in where he fit in. but there really is no place for aegon so i think he will die like a lil bitch while joncon turn to stone.
