That makes it pretty interesting that Hodor has a year off, as opposed to being gone...

Also after watching that... it's not all the definitive. Seems pretty clear tho.

Right. Which was nothing special if that whole story was gone for a season. And maybe still is nothing special.

But...

Bran being there, while Hodor is gone, for a full season...

and then Hodor being brought back...

is interesting.

Eh. It just means theres nothing for Hodor to do while Bran does his training, but obviously the character can't just disappear without reason forever.

Bran is caught up on his book story already. Hopefully they use him as a storytelling device and let him show us some flashbacks. Hodor has no need to be around for that, and will be back when we're back in new book territory.

So yeah basically they're gonna use Bran and Bloodraven this season doing his warg shit while Meera and Hodor are doing fuck all in the caves. They can return next season when Bran's story does something new.

i think it would be weird not to see them AT ALL the whole season. i'd put money on there being a few shots just to remind people "hey theyre still here" but which were filmed during the last season so the actors could be free to do other stuff.

You could accomplish that simply by having Bran mention that they are around. Saves them from having to pay them for an appearance in the season.

sure, if you trust your audience to remember. far too many people still don't even know characters' names. i don't think they trust the audience that much.

seeing how they didn't trust viewers to remember the most popular character's most revealing moment of back story, and left out the end of that line despite having set it up, yeah, they consider their audience to be complete morons
