Since this thread is continuously bumped and dead as far as OP goes and I'm kinda looking for other opinions but sure as hell not gunna make a thread about it, imma throw this out on the off chance I get legit thoughts on it:

So I'm decent friends with this chick, we fooled around before but it was just meaningless drunk messing around. I want to go after her but she is: really fucking hot, has tons of guys going after her (which doesnt bother me or shake my confidence, but...its something to deal with), got out of like a 10 month relationship a few months ago where it seems like guy tried to control her (was a fuckin loser) and now shes got problems with parents at home so shes partying constantly and has the whole "i do what i want" attitude. getting drunk 5+ days & nights a week, is really smart but... it seems kinda obvious shes depressed and/or lonely (hooking up with randoms does not get rid of loneliness, hell im in the same spot), but she wont let me get close at all. shes impossible to even SEE in person, 90% of our communication is/has been through text or IMing.

how the fuck do I go about getting her to open up? is it even possible or do I just gotta let her ride this shit out for however long it takes? I could drop subtle hints or just not bother attacking her issues and just tell her I want a legit chance with her, but getting face time, especially w/her sober, is fucking tough. she plays it off like shes "just having fun" but i can say with almost certainty that she isnt having nearly as much fun as she says. theres also the issue that...thats a lot of shit to dump on someone who might not wanna hear it (and who the fuck am I?). and dont tell me to run away, i'm well aware of the potential risks/headaches, & potential reward far outweighs em. there are other girls in my life so I can wait a little bit and its not causing me massive heartache, but...by far the best of the bunch.

just lookin for reaction/thoughts I guess, or if anyone has had similar situations... I like bouncing things off unbiased people. and yea, "pics" etc...maybe if I get real responses I will, but i doubt it.

I guess its hard for me to express just how many guys are after her. Like...the last 5 times I've been out with her, ive literally seen guys stop and go "holy shit that chick is hot." Shes the "cool" chick too, but she talks a big game and I know she doesnt fuck around as much as she says (not that I care either way, but I just know its a lot of talk). And no, its not just me that she doesnt see/flake out on. Its a common theme, even among her closest friends. Idk why I keep getting into chicks that are fucking flakes, i hate it with a passion - just not a deal breaker for me yet. Other problem being she moved a while back to her parents' place which is an hour away from where I live/where we both go to school.
