i'm going to go with walk away. beating the shit out of the guy is just going to negatively affect her opinion of you and possibly get you hurt in the process. i agree that 6 months is nothing for time spent on someone, but that doesn't mean it won't hurt to let her go. don't just brush it off as nothing, let yourself be sad for a bit and then move on. if she's already interested in someone else and not committed to you, it's likely that this will become a recurring theme if you stay together.

have you tried talking to her? asking her what he has that you don't, or what makes her feel the way she does? and find out how she feels about you? if she's really not sure about which of you she wants to go with, she may only be considering you because you're already together. a lot of girls are stupid about leading guys they don't care about anymore on because they don't want to break up with them. i don't know you, but i'm sure you deserve better than that, so, if that's the case, maybe it's time to move on.

I've actually had this exact situation with an old girlfriend. Luckily, she came to her senses, and picked the established, healthy, relationship over the douchebag coworker. I got lucky that she was mature enough to acknowledge what was just a passing crush (totally natural) and what she would be throwing away by pursuing it. It's possible that would happen here, but the longer she draws it out, the longer she is indeed trying to have her cake and eat it too.

I've been through this but further where the guy actually cheated on me but then was like "I LOVE BOTH OF YOU". As others said I went through a lot of heartbreak wondering if he was going to stick with me. He eventually chose her.


Karma came back though 'cause she cheated on him. He tried to get back with me after that but I was like "fuck you". In that time I realized he was a complete dumbass. Even up til the day I moved to Cali to let my relationship with my bf (now husband) progress he was like "if you moved to cali, that means there's no chance for us!"

This sounds like her problem. Don't entertain it. Either she's committed to be with you or she isn't; there isn't room in a relationship for "but I kinda feel something for this other person". Tell her what you want (which is, I'm assuming, to be in a relationship with her), and tell her what you feel for her. Tell her to figure out what she wants to do, because no one else can do it for her. This is really an open and shut situation, because dragging out "I don't know what to doooo!" is insulting to all parties involved.

The conversation doesn't have to be presented as an ultimatum, but it's going to be one in essence. If you've represented yourself, and the relationship well, there isn't anything else you should have to do. If she wants to chase after ever ovary flutter, then she probably isn't ready to be in a grown-up relationship.
