keep in mind those pics are rumors. No idea if they are real or not. Also if they are, i feel i need to bring up that ridiculous boomerang ps3 controller. Theres a long time for things to change before a final design decision is made.

I remember Nintendo doing the controller thing.. was it for Gamecube? Where some games had GBA/DS support and if you plugged in your controller you would get extra features. It sounds a lot like that

Mini screen could be cool. I don't care what people say, i thought the removable screen stick for dreamcast controllers was fucking awesome at the time.

After the 3DS, I'm still seeing a gimmick in the hardware.

For 30 bucks, they pay for themselves in the end. Also I've used on a weekly basis my 360 Nyko recharge kit for almost 2 years now and it's still working with full battery life.

360 rechargable batteries are garbage. The ones I have go from red (charging) to green in less than a minute and aren't charged at all. And these are the microsoft ones with their charging cable.

I'm still using the controllers I got with my ps3(over 3 yrs ago). I have to charge 3-4 times a yea r(they can be used while charging).

Almost fully agree with this.

Yeah, rechargeable batteries, so what? I use them on my controllers, too, but that doesn't change the fact that after not playing for a long time, whatever batteries I had in there are probably dead, and I'll have to remove my case thingy (should probably just get rid of that), then replace the battery, and put the case back in. While I'm not paying extra money for extra batteries, this is still annoying to do.

Everyone should take a hint from the PS3, being able to use the controller wirelessly and use up battery, or hook it up to a usb port to either charge it, or play wiredly while charging. I don't think I've ever had any battery problems with my PS3 controllers.
