Wow this is the most retarded thing ever. I read someone saying that they think HQ kings will be 100% drop. To me it looks like they said the stuff from the KS99 will be 100%, no mention of the HQ kings still possible that it is though (although given prior history I would say no). Also the drop rate decrease of the BB items was just dumb and is going to upset people that are trying to get it now especially if the HQ kings are not 100% chance.

The fact that you have to do a KS 99 BC, then a shitty version of the mob which can be soloed, then the HQ is just a dumb concept in general. If the HQ kings are indeed 100% from the NQ then this might be a welcomed change. If not then this is just going to end up being shittier than before imo

My only beef is the reduced BB drop rates when HQ isn't 100% (and knowing SE it's probably around 5~15% drop rate. After FINALLY finishing off The Last Remnant I don't trust them worth a fuck with this kind of shit anymore)

Also, don't BB items have a chance to drop from those KS99's as well? That's quite likely the reason they're lowering BB item drop rates from the NQs and removing them from the NQs, but that's still bullshit IMO. Especially after they said they're considering giving MNK a new belt (probably at 99)

This is just stupid. 3 Kings was nowhere near the problem it was a year ago, except now it's more of a pain in the ass to farm 99 Kindred Seals!

After dragging people to kill old content and popping a NQ that now basically drops pure trash, you're not even guaranteed to get a pop for HQ. Knowing their love for Nidhogg/KB/Aspid, pop item for them will probably be stupidly low.

Basically if you want a black belt, maybe you'll get a chance to fight a mob that will now maybe drop what you want. Good work S-E.

I can see the lowered drop rate on Black Belt items. It makes sense. You can now just spam Fafnir/Nidhogg fights over and over again for hours getting many wyrm beards and you can also get it in the KS99 fights. So the rate in which you're getting them is the same, if not, better than before (because before you had to wait for days and the possible chance at actually claiming Nidhogg where as now you're getting Nidhogg 100% of the time). I don't see why anyone is complaining. My only complaint is that this shit would have been useful like 4 YEARS AGO when this shit was actually important.

No. Nidhogg pop is a chance drop from Fafnir, not 100% drop. Look at the way its layed out and worded.

It just says its "dropped" it doesn't say it has a chance to drop. No way of knowing if its 100% or not yet.

I just find it hilarious that we have to kill a harder NM just to get a pop item for an easier one that actually has drops.

I might make use of this, but I'll wait and see exactly how the NQ/HQ rate is. Been wanting me a Dalm for years to complete my Zenith set, but spamming Einherjar sounds like a more probable means of obtaining one than farming KS99 all month.

Why do they say that at least one NQ is dropped from KS99 but no such note exists for the HQ pops? You're fooling yourself if you think it will be 100% drop rate.

There is still some redemption. HQ kings aren't 100% from the NQ, as far as the notes being specific go, but multiple NQs are a possibility from the KS fight.
For LS going for HQ Nid for example, you're going to see an abundance of Fafnir gear. Ridills will be commonplace.

The other thing is that they haven't made any mention of the tags on the trigger items. Orbs for BCs are ra/ex yes, but these triggers could be tradable/bazaarable, and some people might just do KS99 for BB item, get the orbs and the item at the same time, and sell the trigger, or just do KS99 to sell the trig. The possibility is there.
