I always replace the original lyrics of American Pie with Wierd Al's whenever I hear it on the radio <3

Troll attempt was Weaks
From the YouTube comments:
Gaga’s manager has now admitted that he never forwarded my parody to Gaga – she had no idea at all. Even though we assumed that Gaga herself was the one making the decision (because, well, that’s what we were TOLD), he apparently made the decision completely on his own....I knew it!

Gaga never heard the song as her manager admitted that he never forwarded the song to her even though he said so. Al says on his blog that she loves the song so it's back on the album and that means the album is done!!
Stupid, stupid manager she has....

Let me preface this by saying I love most of Gaga's music... shit is catchy as hell. That being said, I've got a friend who's a director for one of the largest concert booking agencies in the world. He's worked with Lady Gaga personally, and told me some stories... apparently she is a stone cold bitch when it comes to anything related to her music & performances. Supposedly she treats everyone involved in the production surrounding her concerts like absolute shit, is totally unreasonable and borderline nonsensical regarding even the smallest decisions, and pretty much burns every bridge she walks across with the people around her involved in virtually every aspect of producing her shows. I really do love her music & maybe it WAS the manager's fault (or maybe that was bullshit to cover the bad publicity), but after hanging out with this guy and his work friends it seems pretty apparent that stories like these are gradually going to become common the longer she's around.
Ironically enough, he said that trent reznor was perhaps the single nicest musician that he has ever met.
She's leroyin
K-ROLD
Weird Al was my childhood idol. Always love to hear his shit.
I was thinking mostly because his music has predominantly angry and anti-social themes, and that he has suffered from suicidal tendancies, depression, anxiety, addiction, and anger issues throughout his life... all things that don't typically add up to a person acting like a friendly and nice guy. A better question would be... in what way is it not ironic that he would be friendly?
I'm starting to think I can't post anything on BG without causing a massive derail anymore.
You find it odd that an intelligent, introspective singer/songwriter/musician/composer/producer is a nice guy, while a preening, self-absorbed, fatuous pop bimbo is a raging bitch? That confuses me.
Well... you're probably just more insightful than I am. Maybe it's because I listened to the "Broken" album too much and assumed he was angry, cause I was definitely surprised. I guess when Reznor comes to Chicago he stops by my friend's building and buys their office lunch. Sometimes he'll bring his family with him and hang out in the office for hours talking about art direction or marketing or w/e... Gaga just verbally rapes people at an increasing pitch of shrieking obscenity in the months leading up to her shows.
If you've ever read some of his posts on his site he comes off as a fairly down to earth, cool guy.
Also a friend of mine was at a greek resort for his honeymoon and Gaga was there with her bf or whatever. My friend got to know her head of security and the best line the guy had was "when you see her just walking around you realize that bitch is ugly as fuck."
No shit. I knew that the moment I saw her. Don't need to be a fucking security personnel.
I know this has been touched on, but it just seems like a huge safe face move on GaGa's part. The specificity of the request to actually hear the song, I mean, it just seems like she knew what was up.
You guys are crazy... she used to be ugly but now I really just want to fuck her in the metal face implant.
He's sober now. I imagine if somebody met him 15 years ago, they'd have a different view of his personality... Because chances are he was a totally different person.
Most people who claw their way from rock bottom generally are nice people because they appreciate everything they have, since ya know, they almost lost it all... Makes for an amazing artist too.
lol @ anyone who really thinks her 'manager' wasn't a.
Best thing to come out of this thread for me was learning that Al has his next album nearly completed. Been nearly 5 years since Straight Outta Lynwood. Last I heard of him was that he was working on a children's book, which I give him props for.
Spoiler: show
I just listened to the original song just now. Immediately thought of Madonna's "Express Yourself" and apparently from all the other Youtube mash ups on it, I'm like the 3 billionth person to think this. This is the second blatant ripoff of a Madonna song next to that other crap song "Alejandro". Add to the fact that she also stole Madonna's whole stage show and persona and I dunno how anyone gives her any as an artist. She's no better than a tranny Madonna impersonator.
