This kind of makes me want to level PUP
I'd like to hear more about this "other-era" you are talking about. Tanaka has been, and will always be, the producer of this game.
During the WoTG, during the Abyssea, right now, years from now, Tanaka is and has been there for you. Him "leaving" for XIV is simply bs people made up. He was the producer of both.
SMN gets nothing. Again.
Hmmmm I wonder what they are talking about with this sentence...
"Certain job traits will see their maximum level of effectiveness adjusted by equipment, magic, and/or job abilities."
Why does this sound almost exactly the same as when they nerfed the haste cap?
"A maximum limit has been placed on the total amount of bonus attack speed that can be gained from a combination of spells, abilities, and items."
inc Desperate Blows nerf
Didn't realize BLU was that OP on the mobs, unless this was only at 90-cap? At any rate, guess I can try and con a couple LS mates to do a run if that's the case. Those automaton attachments are worth quite a bit still, so perhaps gil incentive will drive interest in repeating it until I get what I want from there.
The potential for +50% attack bonus for 3 minutes at a time is pretty god damned nice...
But yeah, why haven't they changed Insurgency to crit yet? Guillotine would work too I guess but Insurgency seems like the better candidate. Or hell, maybe SE has more WS planned for 99.
Still not understanding why they don't just go ahead and do that enmity reduction based on distance buff they canceled from the last update, or whenever that was supposed to be. That was some epic horseshit on SE's part and would have been a million times more useful than lolBounty Shot (which I maintain should be a COR ability anyway I mean wtf does SE not get about Pirates + Treasure? Granted they're always burying it but still...)
Curious to see how Souleater reduction works out. If it doesn't lower it from 10 down to at least 5% then it's junk, especially since they started giving NMs souleater resistance.
Well, since they finally made Last Resort 3 minutes there may yet be hope for 3 minute Sentinel... unlikely, but I can still hope :3
Nah it was at level 75 as well, extremely easy now though. All 3 of the fights can be easily done with three now (duo but you need three to enter).
Yep, /rdm is best. Use cocoon, cycle through whirl of rage > body slam (when rage timer down). Use delta thrust to deal with any that you miss with AOE. Careful with imp phase because they can overwhelm you with AM spells dealing ~500 ish, so snipe them quick. Nice to have someone stun the imp NM so you can CA/efflux QC and follow up with another DD spell, can easily 3 shot him.Originally Posted by Karbuncle
Ironically it could help other jobs more than it helps DRK. Trait is 45 so you'll get it through a subjob. Not that DRK is exactly a good sub in most scenarios but makes it friendlier for some other jobs when zerging maybe? Whether that makes it worth using I don't know.
I think if you take the whole quote, you see that these traits are affected by eq/magic/abilities. My guess is something like AF1 helm which enhances souleater which normally adds 2% more damage taken for 2% more damage dealt will have an affect on souleater damage reduction.*The level indicated is that at which the trait will initially be obtained. Trait effectiveness will subsequently increase at higher levels.
Certain job traits will see their maximum level of effectiveness adjusted by equipment, magic, and/or job abilities.
You also have magic and ja that affect enmity and will result in changes to enmity/healing thing. Thats how I took it anyway.
If I recall, it's a 50% cut to damage dealt, but still the full damage taken when you /drk. Even if they gain a slight reduction in damage taken, this still still helps DRK mains more imo.Originally Posted by Jem
Kirschy, what are you planning on arranging your Tier 2 merits.
was thinking about muted soul if we are able to spam Souleater with less HP consumption.
