You definitely don't need the floors or the walls to be 2 blocks thick. Also, platforms work to separate the rooms.

they really need to add glass back walls, and placeable paintings/tapestries or something to spice up rooms
with blocks being so small, has anyone experimented with pixel art? I bet you could make some really nice looking stuff with the various bricks
You kind of can make windows in the background. Just knock out a couple blocks. It's not the same as a glass window, but it works.![]()
what's that long boney looking thing in the top left part of the bottom room?
A chandelier?
Is there much stats to the gear btw, or is a lot of it just cosmetics?
A spike. You can only get them from dungeons, which you have to beat skeletron to enter. If you touch them, they hurt you a little.
The beginning gear that's crafted out of basic ore {copper, iron, silver, gold) just gives more and more defense as you go up in the tiers. Later on the armor gives special effects like slow mana regen, increased movement speed, and lighting up everything around you. I highly suggest getting the miner's helmet from the merchant asap for 10 gold until you get the Orb of Light. Is there much stats to the gear btw, or is a lot of it just cosmetics?
Lots of stats, effects and full set bonuses. Nothing is cosmetic, basically.
Also HOLY SHIT I did not realize how large worlds were in this. My world, spoilered for obscenely huge...
Spoiler: show
Can barely even see my house...
Awesome. What program did you use to make that?
Edit: Nvm, found it: http://www.terrariaonline.com/thread...p-viewer.4226/
Edit2: The link they gave doesn't work. Does anyone have a working one?
Edit3: It loaded, but took a while.
Edit4: Here's mine.

I cant connect to your server anymore Chaos. It says that we are running two different versions of the game. Did you update your game today?
Oh damn, Blood Moon is so much fun if you're bored and have a decent weapon. I am making loads of money off this shit lol
I love how much content there is in this game, I dunno if it's just me not expecting it because minecraft doesnt have it, but considering how this is only the first release of the game I am giddy to see what kinda stuff you can get in updates.
I assumed steam would update the server itself... do I have to do it manually?
Ah there we go, I got it. Try now.
So, how do you keep all your items organized? I am starting to get a lot of random sand and dirt... which are probably useless, so just toss em somewhere? Do you just keep crafting items on you so when you are trying to craft, it shows what you can make with everything you have?
I am starting to just toss anything over 250 for basic non-metal materials like wood/dirt/stone/sand/etc. after I get 250 of simply-crafted things like glass.
I have more sand than I know what to do with too, I made 3 stacks of bottles, then 2 stacks of glass, then kept 1 stack of sand and tossed the rest.
Other than that I have like 16 chests in my storage area so I haven't run out of room yet lol. I do have it organized into 4 parts, building materials, monster drops/ores/alchemy/gems, gear/accessories/weapons, and tools/bombs/ammo. I am probably going to have to reorganize and throw away some dirt/mud later but eh.
In the meantime, all my NPCs are getting shitloads of bottles in their rooms!
when i try to make my server, it keeps saying client refused. i'll post some pics of my router and see if anyone here can troubleshoot it
i can't connect with local or public ip
lol
Anyone know how to break the wooden floor (the kind you can drop through)? Maybe I'm missing something but there didn't appear to be a way when I tried to use pickaxe/axe.
Hammer
Pretty much all furniture, background walls, glass, and platforms, are broken with a hammer from what I can see.
I really want to build magnificent things, but it feels like anything other than a hotel-style fort is somewhat inefficient... Plus, building can be pretty stressful with the constant mobs. On top of everything, I keep coming across better materials for floors/walls but it requires me to pull all the furniture out first and my inventory ends up being a massive clusterfuck.
Buying this if I can scrape together the change for it. I already blew my "gaming budget" earlier this week. I didn't know about this game until I saw this thread list as the Last Post at the index, meh. Had to make a Steam account for it. I really do wish more (any) of my friends had competent PC. I can't afford to keep up with how they jump from game-to-game on the 360.
Anyways, I watched the first LP posted earlier and loved it. It convinced me to buy the game, although it took little to do that. Anyone know a good on-going LP with the current version?
Vandole: I had to completely turn off my windows firewall. Try that.
