I tried fighting The Twins with full adamantite armor, legendary/godly/unreal weapons, +4 def/damage accessories, and mad potions. I got my ass KICKED.

If I join a hardcore server with an existing character and die, is that character fucked unless I made a backup prior? Not really touched the new content yet other than a quick run through my existing map, which not much to expect since it wasn't generated with the new events/biomes in mind.

Is there a way to tell what difficulty a server is running before you join it btw? I'm not seeing any indicators. Makes me hopefuly come v1.2 they introduce server-side characters so you can enforce starting fresh and what not.

You pick your characters difficulty, not the server afaik. Anyone messed with statues? Only tried a couple and the Piranha one was the only one that did anything. Just summoned up to 3 Piranhas at a time.

As an aside, for Muramasa addicts, the Cobolt sword has the same hold-click feature but is categorically stronger (in proportion to hardmode). As far as I can tell, no other swords do that (unless excalibur does, fuck hardmode bosses).

Flamethrower is the key to killing HQ Worm. Megashark for Skeletron Prime and Twins. and at least 2 people.

I'd say from easiest to hardest is Skele, worm, and twins. Oh and have some hermes/spectre boots.

Grav pots make life a LOT easier for all the fights. I'd say worm is easier than skeletron (or maybe even... worm doesn't do as much dmg as fast, but he's got 80k fucking hp, so meh). Megashark with cursed bullets is fucking OP, especially if you have other gear that adds the "doesn't use ammo" chance.

well I'm on the other bg server. I've built a tower to house npcs and some other person added more rooms so people can stay and store while on adventeruing it's still normal mode

While the worm has 80k hp, anything that does piercing damage straight up wrecks it since it'll hit him like 10 times. He's definitely the easiest of the bunch for me, the twins and skeletron are really a pain though.
