99% of the time that error is due to the idiot hosting not port forwarding, which is why people use Hamachi.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find the underground jungle? The only thing I saw was to look for excessive amounts of mud on the surface, but I have never seen "excessive" mud at ground level, just splotches here and there... and my world is fucking "large."

use that mapyourworld thing if you dont mind? Then just find it on there, run and dig down? ;x Legitly? I've heard that they are usually straight below corruption but i'm not sure how accurate that is.

They're always on the opposite side from the dungeon, in relatively the same position. Just dig straight down and you'll eventually find it.

How long after beating a boss does it take for a meteor to land?

Defeating a boss doesn't trigger a meteorite to fall, destroying a shadow orb does. What beating a boss does do is allow a dryad to move in, who will sell purification powder to make it easier to get to shadow orbs, which are found at the bottom of some chasms in Corruption. Chasms ordinarily are made of a brick you can't mine without a pick made of demonite or better, but throwing purification powder will turn it into ordinary stone.

The mud-on-the-surface trick only works on Small maps and even then not all the time. The Jungle will be on the other side of the map from the Dungeon. Go all the way to the ocean, then walk back a couple hundred feet and dig straight down. You should find it.

Oh yeah, is there any indication that the quantity of Water Candles you're holding increases the spawn-rate effect? I ended up with 20 of the on my in the dungeon and shit got out of hand... unless that's par-for-the-course for dungeons.

I found a jungle and got 2 of the 10% haste items, finally found an even better spot to mine hellore and made a sword and bow out of it, going to try to beat on skeletron later

I had a pretty exciting fight with Skeletor, mostly because of the shitty terrain I was fighting on (highly suggest making a big, flat dirt-bridge for the fight), but I managed to win with:

Full Shadowscale Armor
Sunfury (my favorite weapon so far)

Obsidian Skill
Cloud in a Bottle (for dodging hands and getting out of the head)
Band of Regeneration (meh)
Lucky Horseshoe (useless)
Flippers (lol)

I want a Sunfury so bad. Bone Serpents are stingy dicks.

Ditto for Rocket Boots and Goblin Sorcerers. I've fought off like 3 goblin armies and gotten fuck all.

I somehow got a Sunfury the first time I ever went down to the hell layer. I havent seen one since then though.

I started making a Glowing Mushroom farm in my single player. Its looking pretty cool sofar. I hope to have it finished later tonight and I'll post screenshots.

Man, I just went through Cthulhu, Eater of Worlds, 2 Meteors and a Goblin attack all back to back. Bets on a blood moon next? At least I'm out of my crappy silver armor now.

I killed enough hornets and maneaters to get 180 stingers, over 100 roses, and a bunch of vines, and not a single cobalt dropped. Is the droprate that pissy, or am I killing the wrong shit?

Drop rate sucks. It took me a few days to get a full set of Cobalt Armor. Depending on how fast you kill you should get 1-2 pieces in an hour or so.

Bring a water candle when you are farming them.
