We have talking rain canned water at work for free. It's sparkling though so i'm not sure if that's what you want.
Mote, I have returned from my grocery expedition and I can safely say they were not selling canned water as a consumer product.
They did have LA Lakers branded water in purple plastic bottles however. Now please excuse me as I go do my best to put my head through a brick wall.
Aluminium isn't efficient at all in the first place. It takes a lot of energy to make aluminium, because it's not occurring naturally in elemental form, just as Bauxite.

another edit: canned sparkling water was very common before the plastic bottle hype went off about 10-20 years ago.
