Terrible VA is what makes fighting games so good though. MVC is the best for this, I could shout FOOT DIVE all day every day.

Just need to learn how to dealwithit.jpg on dubs.
or set it to Japanese dubs so at least you can't understand the embarrassingly bad line reads
guess you're SOL if you speak Japanese too though
maybe you don't understand, he's so hungry
ZWEI vs Nightmare fight in story mode is pissing me off. Can't read the fucker before he goes off and destroys me in a few hits.
Sad part is that I view many of the voices in MVC as good-to-excellent. Doom's voice fits him perfectly, even if his actual lines aren't the best. Screaming out the name of a move is just a Japanese thing, so I'm cool with that. I hate English Ryu and can't stand the fact that 50% of the cast screams "YA LIKE THAT?!!!" in some way, shape or form (Goddamn Nova + NA Morrigan), but many voices are of good quality and don't grate on my nerves too much. Doom, Magneto, Haggar, Dante, Wesker, Iron Man and Arthur come to mind as really good NA voices, and there are quite a few great Japanese ones as well, especially JP Chris.
Then I look at the Soul Caliber franchise which has had historically pathetic VA for... its entire existence. I'm starting to wonder if its just become some kind of in-house joke or something. No other fighting series has VAs as bad as Soul Caliber, including Mortal Kombat.
@Blackrose: Cool.
Any news of Nightmare beating ass makes my heart smile even if its cheap fighting game A.I.
Also I think Zasalamel had one of the more acceptable VAs in Soul Calibur (which annoys me even more that he's not in the game). Tira's fits her pretty good too. SC2 Astaroth pissed me the fuck off, exactly what he was probably supposed to do. I could name more but im on Tapatalk and I don't wanna wall-o-text.
Tekken/SC games are optimally played with sticks using circle gates irc.
Honestly, when people said chapters 17-20 were super hard, I was kind of left scratching my head. I didn't take Patraklos through training or anything, just figured out what I could. When I realized there was a fake difficulty spike in those chapters, and realized throws would work pretty much 100% of the time without being cheesed, I took advantage. It'll save you a lot of frustration (from what I've been reading) I lost one set of matches to Pyrrha, then resorted to tossing them. Beat Nightmare in the first set of matches, frustration free.
Not a fan of the story mode. I prefer fighting games to just let me pick each character and run through a half assed story mode for them. Not a fan of either Patroklus or Pyrrha and I hate getting stuck as them for it -_-
Not joking about that Elysium fight, god damn. Stop those mid and low attacks for once.
For whatever reason I breezed through Pyrrha Omega and Elysium on the first try, but Nightmare was forty-five minutes of adrenaline and controller-throwing. And I miss the goddamn Tower. Has anyone listed out the equipment unlocks yet? Like what you get and at what level?
I don't think anyone's done that yet but I hear you get all the equipment around 50ish and patterns/stickers at 90ish.
Patroklus is such a funny character.
"I'm not a pussy! (wussy?)"
"You're not my mother!"
5 seconds later...
"Goodbye, mother..."
