As it is, the Royal Albert Hall performance of the song is also fucking brilliant while we're on the topic.

I would probably kill for the chance to go back in time to see Dylan and The Hawks. I saw Dylan a couple of years back, great concert, some gems I didn't expect to see like Lonesome Death of Hattie Caro and Visions of Johanna. Didn't get Desolation Row which made me kind of sad. The guy I went with was expecting classic Dylan so he was really disappointed.
I'm peanut butter and jealous.
Actually, speaking of fucking incredible albums, I'd never really given Astral Weeks a good honest playthrough before. It knocked me to the ground, man.

Yeah I knew about the All Around the Watchtower story. I think Dylan even relinquished ownership of the song in a way, saying Jimi turned it into something he can never replicate. Like a Rolling Stone and especially Positively 4th Street helped me through a rough time in my first year of college when I was fighting with an old high school friend and drifting apart from them.
Warren Zevon's a hell of a songwriter, and this album has some beautiful solo 12-string work on it.
