PSN cards are all I've ever used for store purchases. Already changed all my passwords for the email I use w/ my psn account. Just waiting on them to bring the fucking system up so I can change my psn pw.

Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal is "demanding answers" about why Sony Computer Entertainment of America failed to inform customers of the data breach of the PlayStation Network on April 20.

"When a data breach occurs, it is essential that customers be immediately notified about whether and to what extent their personal and financial information has been compromised," Blumenthal said in a release. "Compounding this concern is the troubling lack of notification from Sony about the nature of the data breach."

I can see why they'd wait until they were confident that there was an extensive data breach, but why the shit would you wait this long?

Uh, security breach, especially on a service as large as PSN, is a pretty fucking huge deal. I doubt think Sony is trying to save face at all, especially when it takes them a whole freaking week to figure out that they may have been leaked details.

Don't know if it's related or not. I used my card on PSN (debit credit) a couple weeks ago to buy Xenogears/FF7. Sunday night rolls around, I check my bank account almost every day. I had two charges totaling about 100 bucks made in Canada. Called immediately and cancelled. Would not have cared too much if it was credit. They can reverse charges pretty easy, buy my fucking bank account? I was on that shit soooo fast.

Never had card info saved. Card used for those purchases already cancelled. New one in mail. The other info is pretty whatever. Anyone can get that on google or at your local courthouse.

So you should change your card account if you've ever bought anything at all from PSN? or only if you saved your data on the network? I've been checking my bank account daily and no fraudulent charges yet. I would hate to have to get a new card though :/
