Anyone know how big Dead Nation is? I think it might have been a mistake to download infamous first....
Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, but from what I have seen there is still some doubt as to whether people believe that credit card information was compromised or not with the PSN hack. In the last 24 hours, myself and 2 relatives with the same last name (who live in different states) all had unauthorized charges on one of our credit cards. For all 3 of us, the charges were on cards that we used on PSN (and for myself, I didn't use that card for much of anything else). The chances of this not being linked to the PSN hack are extremely unlikely (lottery odds imo.)
I'll skip the boring details, but I was able to work with the owner of the company that was attempting to process a ~$1k charge on my card last night, and I've obtained IP address, working phone number, working U.S. address, and even voice mail audio files of someone (who has horrible English) claim to be me after the owner of the company contacted them and asked them to update some details on the order.
For what it's worth, if your last name starts with "D" and you had a card tied to PSN, do some snooping on your account asap. (I'm guessing the hacker/ whomever currently has the bulk of the information is selling the data off in alphabetical chunks.)
Here's the information I have - also if anyone knows of any other forums etc. where people are sharing information regarding possible compromised account/ Identity theft linked to the PSN hack, please let me know.
They first attempted to check the validity of the card on cheaptickets.com ($2.00 test fee)
They attempted to order a ~$1k medical product (portable tabletop pulse oximeter...) immediately after the cheaptickets.com check from Concord Health Supply (concordhealthsupply.com)
I worked with the owner of this company today to get the intended shipping address, phone number, and IP address(es) used: (I also received a couple of audio files he saved when they called to verify the shipping info)
311 East Holland Street
Apartment A
Archbold, Ohio 43502 USA.

IP Address from follow up email the company sent to clarify shipping info: 41.155.30.17 (Lagos Nigeria)
For my brother, they went on a 24 hour shopping spree before he caught it, getting a ton of even charged items at WalMart (gift cards etc?), and a ton of random other stores, my favorite of which was $30something @ Popeyes Chicken
tldr; PSN Credit card info almost certainly compromised; may be getting sold/ used in alphabetical chunks; Nigeria = win; lolpopeyes
Did you use the wallet system, or store your card information with PSN directly? I've used the wallet system and (knock on wood) no abnormal charges have been seen on the card I used. I check my debit and credit lines pretty religiously, so I'd know pretty quick if it got hit. It's pretty good advice to watch your accounts anyways.
It was a stored card on the PSN. I didn't use it for much else, but as soon as I heard about the hack in April, I signed up for max email/text alerts and caught it within 15 minutes of the first unauthorized charge last night
Store just updated again btw, some new shit on there now that was suppose to originally release, etc
So much DLC shit to download now![]()
A very potter musical

I canceled one of my cards and received it today. Going to do the other one (bank card) Monday I guess.
Canceled my bank card over the phone, was pretty painless. Just a PITA waiting for it to get back. I only use it to pay for things/places that don't accept discover (which is very few places). So it is just a minor inconvenience.
Do I need to have PSN Plus to keep the games after the promotion time?
I did contact my local police department - I'm still waiting for them to call me back to file the report. My expectations are extremely low that anything will come of it, even with all of the details I have, but I'm at least glad I have some insight into what's going on with my PSN hacked info
If anything, they will get you in contact with that city/state's departments as they have jurisdiction. When I got defrauded I had to contact the attorney general in the offenders state for recourse. I would suggest the offender's city p.d. or, if they can't/won't help, deal directly with the D.A. office there. Worst case scenario, you can email the Attorney Gen and they will get back to you within a few months.I did contact my local police department - I'm still waiting for them to call me back to file the report. Well fuck me I accidently clicked free psp game for my first game. Problem is....... I don't have a psp. Won't let me select free game #1 again even though I haven't downloaded the PSP game. Tried calling sony about it and they said they couldn't help me. Welcome back indeed.
Read Cephius' post right above, situation is salvageable.
Also, it's not 2 games total, it's 2 psp and 2 ps3. there are 5 buttons, PS+ month, #1 PS3, #2 PS3, #1 PSP, #2 PSP, (and then a theme)
If your #1 PS3 is gone poof, ok yeah, something weird happened, but if it's just #1 PSP, you're fine. But picking PSP games should not affect your PS3 games.
I can't even connect to the damn network. I want to play Infamous 2 demo![]()
